I'm sure we all have a 'bucket' list of things we'd like to do sometime in our lives before we die. This place certainly gives us opportunities to cross items off it, such as getting to visit other continents.

On the other hand, it also presents us with things we'd never believed would ever happen to us - the whole manner of our arrival and subsequent submersion into this war aside.

[Akiha is back from her mission in Brazil and she's not terribly happy with how it went.]

For example, I can now claim that I have been eaten by a giant slug. Allow me to cross that off my list. I've always wanted to have to kill something while inside its stomach and then cut my way out. [/sarcasm]

That said, can anyone recommend a hair stylist here? I need to take a few inches off thanks to stomach acid. [Or whatever it was.]

We weren't on the island, actually.

[ She doesn't seem to have many problems with telling that, it's just a fact, after all.. even though Akiha was assuming the opposite. ]

It sort of came out of nowhere and we were too busy helping out the people in the city. It was pretty bad down there too, but we managed to take care of some of the things wandering loose there, at least. [ Not entirely unharmed - the black clowns did a number on Ange too. ]

[Someone still doesn't known that's just what black clowns are like. She thinks someone shot like a madness beam at her or something. Cause she has her dumb moments.]

Tohno-san, I have a complete resistance against madness.

[ Ange's saying it very matter-of-factly, as if that would be the main argument for what she's trying to say here.. ]

Even if they had enough to make other people pass out, I would only blink at the most.

[Even with Akiha's will and experience fighting against insanity like the madness, she couldn't claim to have complete resistance to it. She was just well-versed in handling it. Which was why the intensity of it had gotten to her for a few moments.]

...that must be convenient.

Everyone has their own convenient Meister ability, right? I'm probably missing out on some stuff I could've used as well since I have this one instead.

[ Not like she's complaining though. Honestly, from what she's heard about the madness, it's not something she'd want to deal with either way. Yuri always seemed to keep pretty calm despite it though, how did he do it..? ]

I wouldn't call them all convenient. Mine is disquieting.

[ See, normally Ange wouldn't even have been that interested. Her interest is only piqued exactly because Akiha mentioned that last bit. ]

.. What, too afraid I'm going to make fun of you over it?

[It's because it's far too close to her demon ability back home. She's hiding her nature given she wasn't sure how anyone of Shibusen would react to her being half-kishin by their standards.]

No. And you won't have to worry about it when we resonance spar; I told Yuri I wouldn't use it to help even the odds given Sion's kishin egg count in comparison to his.

[Yeah, Ange, did your partner bother telling you about the sparring plans?]

[ Nope, not at all. Hence why she has to second check what Akiha just said, letting it run through her head once more.. spar? Told Yuri? Wait, did Yuri once again plan something without telling her?! So typical of that guy, gah..! ]

Are you telling me Yuri just decided we're going to spar with you guys without even asking me to begin with?

[It's okay, Ange. Akiha didn't bother telling Sion either.]

[ You two are going to be the end of Ange and Sion. ]

.. Fine. Not that I particularly care. [ But there's still something vaguely grumpy. It's difficult to tell from just her usual expression though, honestly, it's way too close to it. ] At least I found out about it before it actually happened without me knowing it would.

[Just wait for drunken Monopoly night.]

It'll do you and him some good. You aren't going to be shy about attacking me, are you?

[ That's going to be the absolute worst end of everything. ]

I'd be worried if I'd come across as shy. [ :| Although honestly, she figures she probably can't really match Akiha.. she did say Sion already got to have some Kishin eggs, right? Yuri didn't have any, and it isn't like she's perfect with swords yet to begin with.. ugh. ] I'm not the type to go easy.

Good. I want to see what you're capable of.

.. Why? [ She blinks. ] It's not like you're my personal trainer or whatever, right?

[She's actually scouting them, but doesn't want to say so.]

Well, don't get your expectations up. [ She's just being honest here, really. Not like Ange thinks too much of herself, and she knows she's only started with swordfighting ever since she came to this place, so she's aware of the fact she isn't very good. ]

I'd hate to disappoint.

[ It's presented in her usual deadpan way, but maybe she does mean part of that last bit. ]

Don't worry; no one ever lives up to my expectations. As long as you're competent and unlikely to cut your own foot off, I'm sure you won't actually disappoint.

I don't know, I've had my fair share of missing foot incidents here already. [ at least it's obvious she doesn't mean this much, it's just deadpan. ]

And here i thought that limp the other week had just been a normal injury. My bad.

[And the sheer fact that Akiha actually said 'my bad' is the only indication that she's rolling with Ange's humor.]
