[The video is focused not on the speaker, but on a set of figures: specifically a nearly complete set of the Chara Misfortune - Leaders of the Watch from the Hikan Cafe. Small, adorable figures modeled after the Leaders of the Watch during the days when it was more prominent.

The collection is complete, including Roy, and has a number of duplicates-- specifically a lot of Gai.]

Temeraire has left me with these figures of the Watch's leaders from a time not too long ago. A number of them are not with us anymore. As one formerly with this team, I must admit that I miss them sorely.

[He pauses, silent for a moment.]

There was a time that my life revolved around a poem that dealt with friends who were cut adrift by a war. Sometimes, I look back to it for guidance-- inspiration-- direction. Consider it a faith, perhaps. I still cling to those words more strongly than anything else. Especially in the times when those I have known and cared for have disappeared.

The war goes on, however.

[A fuzzy snout suddenly invades the video!]

Mei! Stop that!

[And then there's a bark, the snout turns away from the camera and a thud is heard offscreen. After a moment, a red-gloved hand reaches over to shut off the feed.]

[After Genesis has settled Mei, he makes a private feed to Neji, Lee, and Obito.]

Temeraire has told me to leave his extra figures of Gai with you three.

[Sephiroth was silent again for a short while, before (despite it being voice) he gave the impression that he was glancing away from the device dismissively. The truth be told, he always loathed talking about such things.]

I have lost nothing of importance--- [the unspoken 'unlike yourself' could be felt at the end of his words.]

I'm glad to hear that.

[A part of Genesis wants to seek him out-- use this time of temporary peace to somehow try to make more progress in healing that rift between them. But he knows that he and Sephiroth have changed greatly. The ex-General still displays some of the same mannerisms he possessed when they were younger, but Genesis is aware of how much colder he is now and the circumstances that will keep them apart.

But Genesis is known for being hard-headed.]

Would you mind it if I took you out for a stroll in the park some time? I'm certain you do have more important things to attend to, but would you indulge me? Just once-- like friends are wont to do? I remember I should apologize to you for getting in the way during that mission in the caves.

[It had been quite some time since he had last spoken with Genesis, actually spoken to him, and he felt that small part within that remained loyal to the other man crave for such attention.]

I will be out of the city on the sixteenth for a mission.

[That date was the closest Sephiroth could get to bring himself to say 'yes' to the question asked of him.]

[Two can feel the same way. It's the same kind of feeling that made Genesis insist on asking despite knowing how difficult it could be to ask the ex-General out.

To a friendly meeting, of course.]

Then, I suppose you will be free tomorrow? Or later? I'm free any time.

[Genesis is keeping his cool, but it's kind of hard to not notice the hint of excitement there-- the way his voice brightens in tone.]

The morning wil suffice, when most of the city is at training.

[Despite all of the changes he's gone through in this city, he still prefers to be out of the public eye, and what better way to do that than to do it while most are distracted by something else? Whether he noticed that excitement or not was never shown, but knowing Sephiroth, he did and was left pondering such thoughts.]

[ooc: we'll make it for the 15th since I'm still waiting to hear back from the mods about his last mission on the 13th. I'm not sure yet if he passed or failed it, so depending which one would depend on if he's injured or not =\ ]

Hm. Good. We can enjoy a more quiet meeting, then. I'll see you then.

[Genesis is pleased by this. And it also makes sense considering that the last time he invited him out was for breakfast in this out of the way restaurant which gave them a lot of time alone. While he preferred nighttime excursions, he could definitely get used to morning ones.]
