I am assuming many of you have already heard too much contrite babble to be bothered with questions that have been asked hundreds of times. For that reason I will save my breath sating my curiosity toward the obvious.

[Momentarily she fiddles with the device, shifting down an alley way that has much more shade. Fuck the sun. ]

I will, however, ask where the hell can I get my hands on a decent wardrobe for this dreadful climate? I seem to be without my sylladex for whatever reason.

[She scowls, still unable to find any relief from the 94 degree weather. Ugh. Just ugh.]

I cannot bring myself to believe that anyone tortures themselves by voluntarily living in this barren wasteland.[Slight pause]

Though, one obvious question does plague my think pan and I'm afraid I shall have to ask it anyway; what is a Meister and how the hell could I possibly have some type of ability?

And how do I go about finding out just what that ability is?

Fine. I've got two reliable sources for any questions I may have, so that's unnecessary. A drink and three outfits for a pint of blood seems like a fair deal. [She smiles sheepishly into the camera. Well, she kinda has not idea where she is.]

[He looks bored, almost contemplative for a moment, and he takes the time to twist the screw in his head to gain a better focus. A slow creaking sound, but he doesn't seem pained or bothered by it. It clicks, and he lets out a sigh.]

It can't be helped. It's a pleasure to meet you Spinneret. Do you know if you're near the mall, the apartments or Shibusen?

[Instead of answering, she turns the camera out toward the surroundings. Shibusen is pretty close. The nearest shops to where she is are the Cabaret Host Club and the Danse Macabre. After letting him get a good look at what's there, she turns the mirror back.]

Does that help? I just wandered out of what looked like a shopping district.

[A place he knows well, having to go there on multiple occasions to collect Spirit when necessary in the past. Much more helpful than just a rough estimation.]

Sounds like one hell of a partner. No, I haven't. I ditched some kid a while ago near that place because he was annoying the hell out of me. I decided it might be safer to explore than try to resist culling insolent wrigglers.

I've made this clear to one already and I was hoping I wouldn't have to repeat the message but I will anyway. There will be no culling here, under any circumstances. Attempts to do such and I'll have to take action myself, but I'm hoping I won't have that problem with you.

[He's already got one to watch out for, he doesn't need a second. Condy takes up far too much of his time and effort as is.]

I would appreciate it if you don't take any bait the Condesce gives you for antagonizing. Don't make her angry and don't give her a reason to want to kill you. We'll have to go back to my lab for the blood sample extraction and she's living there with me, so it would be troublesome to have to keep you two separated if you anger her. Karkat's done enough damage for one day.

The only ones I have issues keeping her from are Meenah and the Signless, and now perhaps Karkat as well since he saw fit to threaten her. Other than that she behaves herself for the most part so long as she's not needlessly provoked. She can do what she wants so long as it doesn't involve harming others, I've already been over this with her and she's been doing rather well with that recently, so I'd appreciate it if our progress wasn't taken back a few steps because of you new arrivals. However, I don't think I'll have that problem with you since you seem rather sensible enough, and due to your blood status she's more likely to prefer having you around than your counterpart so you get a pass on that.

[Which is a subject he can agree with, though he assumes it's because of the different situations in which they lived, it makes all the difference after all.]

It doesn't surprise me, honestly. Putting more than one Condesce in the same room isn't smart to begin with.

[She isn't really in a position to disagree with any of this. If he has said they have made progress she can only hope that doesn't mean she'll be culled immediately upon arrival to said lab. At least she gets to buy clothes first from a man she doesn't know. What a way to go out. At least she'll look pretty.]

At least someone recognizes blood status around here. I was starting to think this place had no sense of class. [She scoffs] How long until you find me, then? I don't wish to be in the sun for much longer.

I've been spending a fair amount of my time researching trolls, which is why I have knowledge of the caste system. However aside from Condesce, you'll find that blood means nothing here and you'll have to get used to that.

[Which hopefully won't be a problem, he has enough things to deal with as is.]

It should take me about twenty minutes to get to your location, luckily you're not as far from my lab as you could be.
