As some of you already know, I have a couple of empty rooms in my apartment that need filling. I’m not going to be overly picky about who fills them as long as they can pay their share and mind their own business. The apartment is on the third floor of Fatality Condominiums and there is a lovely new garden on the balcony. Those who can cook, garden or clean will be considered first.

On a similar note… [she glances around for a moment before lifting the mirror and pointing it at a black and white kitten sitting on the back of the couch watching her curiously.] This was left behind and needs a home ASAP. I think its name is Jerry or Jesse or... something. Anyway, first come first serve, there are some items that can go with it, some need to be fished out from under the couch and probably the beds as well.

Ah, you must be in Casualty Communal then. [she remembers those closets, not very fondly]

I have time, why don't you come to my place, do you know where Fatality Condominiums are yet or would it be easier to meet at the steps of Shibusen? I've been here a while so I can shed some light on how things are around here.

[She feels pretty self-important right now what with knowing more about something than the genius she is speaking with]

[Ah, don't rub it in Nanami! For a moment, Miki was pondering about it. It would be really rude to impose on her but at the same time, he was still getting use to this place.

Would it be all right if you could meet me at the steps of Shibusen? I don't really know my way around this place quite yet. However, if you would mind it...

[Nanami is first to arrive at the meeting point since her apartment is closer, but she took her time so it shouldn't be much longer, after all Nanami doesn't really like waiting around.]

[Of course, being new to the area, Miki was a little bit slower. He didn't have any trouble walking to the place but it was still a little odd trying to be familiar with the area. Between the apartments, shops, and any other buildings, he was starting to wonder how he was able to figure out the lay out of Ohtori Academy anyway!

However, when he did finally arrive in place...]

Nanami? Ah, Nanami, over here! [He said before walking up to her] So you really are here...

[Not that he didn't know before but to see her in person? Well, this was going to be a problem now that they were both in the middle of a war...]

Miki! [She was trying to hold back a smile but it broke through anyway, was he a site for sore eyes. Nanami really thought she was going to be alone here forever. She stayed in place allowing him to approach her.]

In the flesh. I haven't seen you in months. [Just about five months for her actually]

[Being the gentlemen Miki was, he wished that he had a napkin or something to give to her. Instead, all he could do was give a small smile back at her.] Are you okay? Are you sure you're not hurt right?

And especially when you haven't seen me in a... [...months?] ...a while?

[And yet, he just seen you talking to him just a few minutes before arriving here!]

[Nanami isn't quite sure how she's going to break her lovely scars or new tattoo cover them to Miki, so she's just not going to tell him about them... oops. Still her smile is a little weak like perhaps she is hiding something from him]

Mmm, I'm fine. I mean, as fine as one can be when brought in to fight someone else's war. [she gives him another curious look]

What's the last think you remember before being brought here?

[Nanami, what have you been doing while Miki wasn't here? You better not let him know or else he will not be a very happy camper!]

As long as you're still alive and doing the best you can, that's all that matters.

Let's see...I do remember that we were waiting together for the final duel between Utena and Akio? However, while we were waiting, I passed out before arriving here. Were you the same?

Anyhow, what's your assignment, Meister or Weapon?

Ah...if you say so?

[Meanwhile, Miki couldn't help but wonder what was going on. However, it wasn't exactly in his right to pry into her life like that. Time to change the topic too!]

Oh! Well, they said I was a Meister but I haven't really found out what my ability is yet. Hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult! I mean if I practice a lot, I'll find out soon! At least that's what they said.

Hmm, well I can't really help with Meister abilities. [As she was only a meister for a couple of days and she didn't really figure out how to use hers exactly]

You'll have to attend morning training, I believe I've seen someone teaching a class on Meister abilities before. I'm sure someone like you will figure it out pretty quickly.

Oh, don't worry about it! I'll figure out how what my meister abilities are!

[That and he doesn't want her to worry! She has her own worries about trying to live in this environment]

And especially if there's some training too! I just hope that I can learn quickly enough to help everyone here!

[She shakes her head thinking about how naive he is] Look at you all gung-ho to fight a war. It's not tapping a rapier to someone's chest and calling it a day you know, you have to actually kill monsters. Giant vicious monsters.

[He has much to learn about Death City. Now that he hasn't quite heard about!]

Of course I have. Actually my soul tally is currently 26. You know this city has been breached twice since I got here a little more than four months ago.

[Ohhh Miss Nanami oooohhhh...okay no. ]

Goodness and you weren't afraid of what was going on? I mean, that must be really tough to fight all those monsters and get those souls too! That is rather impressive that you were able to fight them all with your partner!

[She casually flips a curl over her shoulder]

I suppose you could say I've surpassed everything I once was. [she's just going to keep digging the hole deeper and yeah she's actually still pretty scared every time she has to fight a kishin egg]

I have a few different partners I go on missions with; really with all the people who come and go around here it's stupid to pick just one. [she wishes she had a permanent partner...]

Really? But even though you've been here for four months, that is impressive to just take them on all like that! [With that, Miki couldn't help but give a small smile to her]

And here I am, just wondering how I will be able to fight them! I'm still trying to find a partner but...

[Yeah about that...] Doesn't it get a little difficult? To find so many different people to go on missions like that?

Well, morning training can help with that, there's an area devoted to finding partners, just find someone who is interested in knocking out as many missions as possible. Once you feel comfortable enough I'll even go on an easy one with you. I am Weapon after all.

[Meanwhile, Miki was a little unsure about the idea of fighting in a war. However...]

That would be a good way to start! Although, I hope finding one wouldn't be that difficult? With so many people around here, it seems like it would be!

Ah, are you sure? I'm still trying to figure a few things out but...

I'm sure a genius like you will be fine. Anyway, you should take your time, there's no rush, this war has been going on for some time now.

When you're ready. [she's not just going to immediately take him out and hope for the best. She thinks for a moment] My weapon form is basically the same as my scimitar, you may be able to wield it like a foil if we resonate well enough.

[For a moment, Miki was seriously pondering about this. He did want to help out with the war and help find a way to get out of this place. At the same time, the idea of using people as weapons was a tad bit...uneasy for him.]

I do need some time to figure this out but I'll definitely let you know when I'm ready! I just need to figure out what my ability is first!

...They're fine. I think we were all able to help out Utena-senpai in some ways with her final duel. However, I think that's all I can say. We are just waiting for her and seeing what the final outcome is... [And you know, all the fun stuff in between]

[Nanami nods at him] Very well then.

[And here Nanami is't even sure if she wanted an update on her non-brother. She isn't going to ask for him in particular but was in a small way hoping that Miki would briefly touch on him.]
