Greetings. While I have a feeling the majority of you know me, I'll introduce myself for the few who don't. I am Naoto Shirogane, Shooting Instructor at Morning Training and Agent at the Kuzunoha Detective Agency.

Introduction and credentials aside, I wanted to report a very recent investigation that my Meister and myself conducted on the cave system located near Death City. There appears to be an odd mist of Madness within the tunnels and while thin, it's potent. We're offering to escort groups who wish to practice combating its affects into the caverns. I advise having a few missions under your belt and not to merely drag a Meister or Weapon with you for this exercise. All interested parties will contact either myself or Kanji, and please do so as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee it will remain for much longer.

Besides being busy, how have you been fairing?

Well, pretty alright. Though I'm also pretty tired by the end of the day most of the time. But that basically just comes with the whole being busy thing.

It does. How is Triple A doing?

We're doing pretty good actually. Not like, extremely awesome like we used to do, but we're not doing all that bad. We have some Shibusen students helping out part time, so that really makes things a bit easier too when it does get busy.

I'm glad to hear that.

... I probably need to check again for some more regular staff though. Mizuno-chan just got sent back home by BREW a couple of days ago.

We seem to be losing more people and gaining less lately.

Yeah. I know. It's... really depressing.

But there's really nothing that we can do about it, right? I mean, besides just trying to do more while we still can.

Indeed we have to make due. Though, if we could speak to BREW, I would want to ask what its reasoning for this is.

I think that's something that everyone wants to do, Shirogane-san.

[ Though for all they knew maybe half of the witches got sick and died. It'd certainly explain why they were loosing so many people now if they didn't have as much need for people to fight. ]

Perhaps for the original reason it brought us here. Doubt they're so curious about the abrupt disappearances now.

[Though, if there was less fighting to do, that would be a reason. It only seemed like one Witch was presently bothering them.]

Well, yeah. There's that too...

[ She sighs. Not that the reasons weren't linked either way, but still. It'd be nice to have some idea of why BREW did what it did for a change. ]

Well, let's not dwell too far back into what if's or woulds... We've been around that discussion too much before.

Yeah. Definitely. There's really no reason to waste time with it anymore. I guess we just need to look forward and do our best.
