Yuugi-kun and everyone came over and the Ring took over and tried to kill them to get the Puzzle. [[He looked down at the scar on back of his left hand]] It wound up being a battle between the Pharaoh's spirit and the Ring, with Yuugi-kun and everyone being the pieces in the game. Somehow... somehow I was able to wake up and gain control of my hand... so I could help fight against him as well.

[He doesn't miss that look and his eyes narrow. Was that where it came from?]

Somehow that doesn't sound like all ya needed to do was to take the ring of and toss it into a drawer.

There was no way I could... [[Again, he reaches up to touch where his scars lay]] He said I'd be his host for forever, and that I couldn't take the Ring off ever again....

[[There's a very awkward moment before Bakura lets go of Leo's hand to pull off his sweater, unbuttoning the shirt underneath enough to show off the 5 puncture scars in a half circle in his chest.]]

[He sucks in his breath and curses.]

It has pendents [[explains as he re-buttons his shirt]] 5 of them that hang down from the main circle of it...

Fuck, don't tell me it tried to hold on?! [Great, now he has that wonderful mental image of a cross of a facehugger and a golden ring burying into the others chest.]

[[That would be about right...

He nods, pulling his sweater back on and smoothing it down, still feeling horribly self conscious.]]

[He stares.

And stares a little longer because, holy fuck, the immges his brain is coming up with right now!]

[[He holds up his hands to mimic the size and shape]] About this big...

[[shakes his head, fidgeting with his sleeves a little.]] There really wasn't much I could do... and it's not that the Ring itself is something to be destroyed, just the Voice in it.

[[a nod]] The Ring itself... It's important. There's a mystery behind the Items that I want to figure out.

[He grimaces.]

You know, that's got to better be a mighty important mystery behind it if you're alright with stuff like that.

[[looks up, blinking]] All right with what stuff...?

[[a very faint smile at that]] It's fine now...

Even if he does come back to the Ring... I'm never going back there. So it doesn't matter.
