[The video starts with the camera shaking around. Through the shakiness, one can make out Hughes' knees and feet and possibly the floor.]

Here we go!

[The feed suddenly jerks up and the floor can be seen clearly, but the video starts moving around again soon after. The communicator is being waved.]

Record this! Record this!

[A hand takes the device, and it stops shaking excessively. Bakura replies.]

Okay!

[The communicator gets turned around and positioned properly. One can see Hughes is bandaged up and sitting in a wheelchair. Behind him is Amaterasu who is standing on her hind legs with her front paws set against the handles of the wheelchair. Bakura talks to the two of them.]

Everybody wave!

[Amaterasu grins and raises a paw to motion a wave. Her tail is wagging hard. Hughes grins and waves too.]

Look at what Ammy can do!

[Hughes jabs his thumb in her direction. Bakura speaks up and positions the camera so it's easier to see Amaterasu.]

Pretty impressive, ne?

[Amaterasu barks a couple times and pushes the wheelchair forward. Hughes starts laughing really excitedly and jokes between his laughter.]

Don't mind us! Just out for a stroll!

[Bakura laughs from behind the communicator and follows after as they move along. After a few more seconds, Hughes turns and waves his arm at Bakura for the communicator. He chuckles as he speaks.]

Okay, okay, that's enough of that. I think we all can see how talented Ammy here is now.

[He grins at Amaterasu. The camera shakes a little before the video feed is cut off. There is a text note beneath the video.]

Sorry! I was so distracted after that I forgot to post it up on the network yesterday. Thanks so much for helping me out, Bakura and Ammy!

[It seems the video was recorded some time in the afternoon the day before.]

Yeah, I kind of got that feeling, given the circumstances.

Vaguely. I missed out on the tour since I was otherwise preoccupied. I know the basic gist about a war or something and that we were all pulled her to help. We also get basic provisions and whatnot, and that's about it really.

Actually, I never got this clarified for me: what exactly are the Weapons and Meisters or whatever they're called?

Weapons and Mice-sters *he pronounces the word differently. No way does he want to sound like a Maester of Yevon* are how this world divides up your powers.

In order to fight the monsters of this world, called kishin eggs, they have to be fought in partners. A single person can't do anything against them. A Mice-ster is someone who wields a Weapon and uses it in combat. They have one ability that can be used either in or out of combat. They can be pretty random.

A Weapon is someone who can literally turn themselves into a weapon, like a gun or a sword. The Weapon is the one that damages the kishin eggs. The pair work together by soul resonance, basically having their powers compliment each other.

It's like...*thinks of an example* The difference between a poor leader and his men and a veteran leader and his men. If you don't have a good resonance, it'd be like throwing a command to a bunch of guys to someone who doesn't know what he's doing. Nothing will work. Good resonance is like being paired under a good commander where you work together to finish your objective.

*Abruptly realizes he's talked a LOT more than he usually does.* Something like that.

[He listens patiently and chuckles when Auron finishes.]

I see. That's a good analogy. That's pretty interesting. So are all of us supposed to be one or the other? How do you find out which you are supposed to be?

They have training sessions every morning. While you're there, they have people who can determine what kind you are.

I think what makes a person good isn't how they act or how they look or what they might have done in the past. It's who they inherently are. There can be someone who is good without the rest of the world realizing it, but it doesn't make them any less good simply because no one knows.

Anyway, we'll see, hehe.
