Ah, I can't help feeling that things are a little quiet around here right, now. I know I should probably feel glad considering the alternative, but I guess I find it all too easy to become bored.

I've heard the news that there may be a serial killer in our midst, but it's hard to feel concern for something when it's at a remove from you, right? It's a big city after all, and it's easy to put your mind to rest and think that such a thing will never happen to you. Only, perhaps the people who were killed used to think exactly the same thing? I wonder.

Anyway! Perhaps it's better to concentrate on something a little less morbid. And since I said I was bored...maybe some of you can tell me what you like to do for fun around here? Is there anything you particularly like about Death City? Or even things you really dislike? Give me some ideas ☆

I'm not so certain about that. Humans are a fairly resilient species overall. I'm not sure you'd find them quite as easy to dispose of as you'd like to think.

I beg to differ given how eager humans are to dispose of one another.

And yet they've managed to survive this long all the same. Besides, if there's a common enemy to unite against then fighting among each other can wait. That's the thing with humans; violence is embedded within their very nature. It doesn't really matter who the target is, so long as they have one.

Perhaps that is why my liege was unable to save humans prior to his existence as an Ends.

And what does that mean, exactly?

He once tried to save humans and they denied him.

It is possible that they did not wish to be saved, that they instead prefer violence.

I suppose that would depend on what you mean by 'saved'.

I suppose one could also describe it as deliverance or redemption.
