[Aqua was sitting by a window, with her knees draw up and the communicator balanced on top. She leaned back against the wall, posture relaxed.]

I've been wondering, does anyone come from a world with magic? If so, would you mind telling me a little about it?

[She reaches out a hand to steady the communicator when it slides a little to the left before righting it again.]

I specialized in magic back home, so I'm curious about what kinds of magic exists in other worlds.

I found a copy of the Grimm's Fairy Tales in the library. [She smiled.] I really enjoyed it; thank you for recommending it to me.

I was rather talented at spellwork myself. What I had learned was mostly elemental in nature, but there were many other kinds of magic that could be studied, if one wished.

It was like that for us too. Most of our offensive spells focused around the elements of fire, ice, thunder and air with some additional spells that affect time and space.

What kind of elements did you use?

Time and space? Those spells are considered elemental? For us, that was a far higher caliber of magic than that which controlled fire, stone, or water.

Was it? We had quite a few basic spells that were specifically meant to slow down time or affect gravity. But it isn't until we move into the more advanced spells that they become more effective.

How advanced? What exactly could you do with those spells?

[Slowing down time sounds extremely useful.]

For spells that manipulated time we were limited to creating a field that slowed or stopped time. The strongest spell out of these is probably Stopga, but even that one can only stop the enemies' time for about eight seconds at most. Slowing them down lasts longer, but it's still limited.

As for manipulating space, it was mostly either using magic to affect an area's gravity or using a magnetic force to draw your enemies in and trap them while causing them damage. The more advanced spells last longer and create a larger area of effect, with Transcendence being able to create a zero gravity field that enemies can't escape from.
