i dunno, for having such a doggone depressing name...
death city isn't that bad!
except for the whole sandstorm and death and doom and gloom sorta thing.
i mean, i KNOW we have to go back soon, but...
while i'm here, i just start thinkin' real hard about the deep questions.
like if you eat your own booger...
where does it go?
i just don't know.
i don't think anybody can ever really know.
but i can really see myself settling down here and growing five mustaches and opening up a joke shop or somethin'.

[Aqua was sitting by a window, with her knees draw up and the communicator balanced on top. She leaned back against the wall, posture relaxed.]

I've been wondering, does anyone come from a world with magic? If so, would you mind telling me a little about it?

[She reaches out a hand to steady the communicator when it slides a little to the left before righting it again.]

I specialized in magic back home, so I'm curious about what kinds of magic exists in other worlds.

I found a copy of the Grimm's Fairy Tales in the library. [She smiled.] I really enjoyed it; thank you for recommending it to me.

YO, people of Death City! I got somethin' important to talk about.

I dunno how far word has spread, but I've been told by a few people now that there's this legendary sword who gives the users ultimate powers and can win this war. Dunno why no one's tried to find it yet -- but I've been lookin'! It ain't in the toilet of Keroro's shop, by the way, Luna.

[ Natsu holds up the LEGENDARY BOOK OF EXCALIBUR. Then he flips through to show a picture of the sword embedded in stone. ]

It's apparently in this cave. So here's what I'm thinkin'. We go get it. We take a day to prepare a team and then go out and get our hands on the weapon. Lots of us wanna go home, right? Shibusen needs us to win the war, right?

[ He taps the book's cover with his hand. ]

This is our best shot. Who's with me?

[The feed starts rolling to reveal Yugo and Haruka outside Casualty Communal. The boy's practically bouncing up and down with excitement.]

Hey, everyone!! We've got a super cool idea that we want to share with you all! Tell them, Haruka!

[Haruka's sitting on a bench near Yugo, crutches out of sight of the camera. She's a little more restrained, but her voice is filled to the brim with enthusiasm.]

Death City! Currently, you have a wonderful resource that is going untapped! That resource... is stories!

There are hundreds of us here with hundreds of stories to us each, and yet - where are the story parties? Well, we're going to hold one. You can't let so many of your wonderful stories go unshared!

[She nods at Yugo.]

It'll be tomorrow at noon in front of Casualty Communal! Everyone should come! We'll have food and everything too!

It's just what we need right now! A pick-me-up for our spirits!

So bring all your best stories, Death City! The more the merrier!

See you there! [She punctuates the statement with a small, cheerful wave.]

[ Life in Death City hasn't been too difficult to get used to. There are a couple differences from back home, but it's usually nothing a guy like Tsurugi can't handle. Some ~~of his friends~~ people from back home have even shown up recently, so things aren't looking too bad.

But there's one thing he can't quite adjust to.

See – it turns out not everyone in Death City comes from a world obsessed with soccer. Some of them don't even know what it is. And that's terrible. Especially since a certain group of soccer boys would like to get a match or two going one of these days.

So he has come to the network with a very important question. ]

Who here has played soccer before, or has at least heard of it? It doesn't matter if you're any good or not. Let me know.

At least the inhabitants of this realm are sensible. I've been telling Thor for years that magic mirrors are portable and convenient methods of communication, but he would always laugh me off and said that if he wished to speak with someone so badly, he would go see them in person.

Though I must admit, being able to address so many people with one mirror is a novelty.

Ahem. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Loki Odinson of Asgard. Prince of Asgard, actually, though not the crown prince. That would be my brother, Thor.

[...sigh]

That probably means nothing to most of you, does it? Oh, well. I shall have to learn to live with it, just as I shall have to learn to live without my magic.

Which brings me to the second task at hand. I can't get any of my spells to work, but I've clearly seen magic done since my arrival. Can the magic native to this land be learned? And if so...

[A bright, excited smile.]

...will you teach me?

[A kid with a huge blue hat blurs on the screen as he shakes the mirror.]

--this how you turn it on again?

[He grins.] Hi, Death City! Can you all hear me? Super, it works!

I'm Yugo! I guess you can call me one of the newbies. It's great to meet you all!

Is anyone else from the World of Twelve? I'm looking for my friends. I think some of them should be here. Evangelyne the Cra and Remington the Rogue! I didn't see any of them when I got here, so...

There's tons of people from other worlds here, right? Maybe we could all meet and get to know each other--it'd be cool to share the stories and adventures of our worlds! [Just the idea of sharing tales with brave otherworldly adventurers widens his grin!]

Seems it's still needed. Don't mind us.
