[Aqua was sitting by a window, with her knees draw up and the communicator balanced on top. She leaned back against the wall, posture relaxed.]

I've been wondering, does anyone come from a world with magic? If so, would you mind telling me a little about it?

[She reaches out a hand to steady the communicator when it slides a little to the left before righting it again.]

I specialized in magic back home, so I'm curious about what kinds of magic exists in other worlds.

I found a copy of the Grimm's Fairy Tales in the library. [She smiled.] I really enjoyed it; thank you for recommending it to me.

The kind of magic I used the most often were a way of attacking and defending that doesn't use weapons. Instead of attacking an enemy directly, I can use elemental spells where I use fire, ice, thunder or air to attack my enemies. I can also use it to hinder my enemies' movements, heal injuries or even create a barrier to deflect attacks.

Besides that there are also charms, which are...like wishes, I guess. One I can put into an object to protect the person wearing it.

I see. So it is... almost like things here, like Meister abilities! With wishes. And then elemental jutsu moves on top of that! I think that I see! Every ninja has an element they are born attuned to, and then we can train to gain affinity with others!

I have found that activating my Meister ability is very similar to casting spells. But if you don't mind, could you explain what a jutsu is?

It is channeling chakra in a certain way, for attack or defense or healing or a boost of energy! All ninja can do it!

What's "chakra"?

Chakra is energy, life force. Ninja can manipulate it in various ways, use it for attacks and defense and even fun.

It was fairly ordinary until I arrived here. Now I still climb buildings but I cannot run up the walls like I could before. I can run short distances! But I cannot use anything to counteract gravity. So I must be more precise.

It certainly takes a while to adjust to not having our powers any more.

It does.

But it is not impossible! And we wind up with new abilities! I miss what I could do back home, but my new abilities are very interesting, I feel.

I agree. What my Meister ability allows me to do...I'd never even imagined I could do it on my own.

What is it?

It's called Soul Levitate. It allows me to fly.

...Fly. That is something I cannot do even back home.

Me neither. I had something that I could use to fly, but that's not really the same.

What is that? Because we do not have things that fly at all.

It was a weapon that could also transform into a glider when we needed it to.

A glider? What does a glider glide over?

Well, we called it a glider but I guess that's not accurate since it didn't really glide. But usually gliders glide on winds.

I wonder if there are gliders here. I would like to see one! And perhaps ride on one, if people can ride in them.

Normal gliders are pretty common, I think. But I'm not sure if there's anywhere you could fly one here.

Perhaps someone could get one and take it on a mission to where it is more suited! What landscape is best suited for gliding?

I'm not sure, actually. I've never actually flown a normal glider before...
