[Aqua was sitting by a window, with her knees draw up and the communicator balanced on top. She leaned back against the wall, posture relaxed.]

I've been wondering, does anyone come from a world with magic? If so, would you mind telling me a little about it?

[She reaches out a hand to steady the communicator when it slides a little to the left before righting it again.]

I specialized in magic back home, so I'm curious about what kinds of magic exists in other worlds.

I found a copy of the Grimm's Fairy Tales in the library. [She smiled.] I really enjoyed it; thank you for recommending it to me.

Channeling Aer - what is also harnessed for 'Magic Artes' - through a weapon rather than through a formula. Effects vary; a swing and a fired bolt, a slam and shockwave of fire, increasing speed to near invisibility to strike from behind. There are a great deal, depending on weapons weilded. They don't require quite so much study as formula do.

I see. We have something similar to that too. Though it seems like quite a few worlds also consider things like that to be magic as well.

But you mentioned a...formula. Could you explain what those are for?

It is.. perhaps a sub form, where I am from.

Formula? Anything and everything; it is how Aer is molded into what is... here, commonly known as 'spells'. Barriers are created with them - preventing monsters from entering cities. There are formula in the blastia that purify and control water flow, light and heat homes. Formula also dictate the elements drawn upon for battle use as well; some are modifying formula, when attached to specific stand-alone formula, you gain a new application. [ Yes. It does sound like he's talking about math being magic. ]
