[Aqua was sitting by a window, with her knees draw up and the communicator balanced on top. She leaned back against the wall, posture relaxed.]

I've been wondering, does anyone come from a world with magic? If so, would you mind telling me a little about it?

[She reaches out a hand to steady the communicator when it slides a little to the left before righting it again.]

I specialized in magic back home, so I'm curious about what kinds of magic exists in other worlds.

I found a copy of the Grimm's Fairy Tales in the library. [She smiled.] I really enjoyed it; thank you for recommending it to me.

That seems like an awfully high price to pay to become an angel...

.....I guess. I just figured....that's what it meant, to become an Angel. It's what I had to do, to try and save Sylvarant and restore it's mana supply.

But isn't there another way?

Lloyd thinks if we reunite the two worlds....it might stop them vying for mana. Emil says we manage to, apparently. So....it all works out.

I'm glad you found another way.

[The relief is easily visible in her expression.]

Even if it's to save the world, it sounded like too high a price to pay.

I was.....willing to do it, if that was what it took to save Sylvarant.

But that's not what your friends wanted, right?

[She thinks she understood a little, what Takasugi was telling her before, about not thinking about the feelings of the people she sacrificed everything for.]

I think, even if you saved your world, if it was at such a high cost to you, they still wouldn't be happy.

Lloyd....he didn't know. I didn't tell him so he only found out at the Final Seal what was going to happen. But no, it isn't what he wanted. He wants to find a way to reunite Sylvarant with Tethe'alla, so there would be no more need for the Chosen system anymore.

It's when a child is born with a cruxis crystal in their hand, like I was. It means they are the one who is supposed to go on the Journey to restore their world's mana.

Do they all become Angels?

If they succeed in their Journey.

Oh. [So others beside Colette have had to go through that? It didn't seem fair at all.]

Did he manage to do it? Making it so that the Chosen System's no longer needed?

From what I've been told, I think so.

[It just wasn't fair.]

Lloyd, he was one of the people you wanted to give a Wayfinder to, right?

Yes. Lloyd is my best friend!

I'd like to meet him one day.

I'm sure you will. He's here in Death City too, and in the Watch like you.

Then I wouldn't be surprised if we run into each other soon.

It wouldn't be too strange, no. I hope you do get to meet him.

So do I. He sounds like a wonderful person.

He is. He's...he's helped me through a lot. It's because of him that I wanted to go on my Journey. To protect the world he lives in.
