[Aqua was sitting by a window, with her knees draw up and the communicator balanced on top. She leaned back against the wall, posture relaxed.]

I've been wondering, does anyone come from a world with magic? If so, would you mind telling me a little about it?

[She reaches out a hand to steady the communicator when it slides a little to the left before righting it again.]

I specialized in magic back home, so I'm curious about what kinds of magic exists in other worlds.

I found a copy of the Grimm's Fairy Tales in the library. [She smiled.] I really enjoyed it; thank you for recommending it to me.

What kind of people can use it?

[hums thoughtfully] All kinds. I'd say that the ability to use it is determined at birth, but it can also be triggered by extreme circumstances, or developed after sufficient amounts of training.

Were you able to use it?

[nodding] I had to train for it, though.

Makes sense. [She hasn't seen many skills that could be acquired without training.]

What could you do with it?

Materialized chains out of my energy.

[There's a pause, quickly growing embarrassed and awkward, as he realizes how lame it sounds with just that, so he hurries to explain further:]

Five of them, one for each finger of my left hand. I gave each one a specific ability. The skills I have now, in weapon form, seem to be pattered loosely after them.

[Well, chains could be very useful too.]

What kind of abilities did it give you?

I can heal, paralyze, and cut something into ribbons. The chain part of my weapon form needs to be wrapped around the target first, though.
