Sorry! Sorry, I just... um. I'm trying to figure the communicator... thing... out. Um. I kind of come from a time when we didn't have like. Anything you've got here so... yeah. Figuring stuff out! Super fun times. Woo.

Anyway. I'm Hiccup, hi. Yes, that is my name.

Um. So... uh. [HE WASN'T PLANNING ON BROADCASTING WHAT DO] So what do you guys do around here? I mean I know there's a war going on... or something... but how does that actually work? Do we get attacked a lot? And what do you do when that isn't happening? The city is waaaay different from Berk, so... I'm kind of lost here.

I know I'm kind of asking a lot of questions and I'm sorry but. Yeah. Confused. So. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Now then, in concerns to free time, it depends. There's a list of jobs around the city. What do you specialize in? [Since age wouldn't matter in your culture.]

Oh. Uh. Blacksmithing, I guess.

Hm... well, I can't say we have blacksmithing exactly. There are Construction and Maintenance jobs throughout the city... [Buuut that includes cleaning up dead bodies eventually.]

I'll ask around and see if there happens to be something more suited for you. The Watch might have a job...

[The other question] Well then, the war. Are you a Meister or Weapon?

[worstvikingever]

Yeah. Right.

[THIS question jeez EVERYBODY wants to know]

Alright. Well, this war - as I hope has been explained - is between Shibusen and the Witches. Witches are women with magic abilities prone to using them solely for destruction. Of course, they're not the reason behind the missions on the board.

In this world, Souls are physical in a sense. When you had your soul perceived, they were observing how your soul had become shaped. It cannot be seen normally except by a Meister with Soul Perception. Your soul comes out though when you're killed.

There are creatures that seek to collect Souls called Kishin eggs. For every soul eaten, the more power they gain. I'll say this now. A Kishin egg was once human; however, the act of eating an innocent soul is quite inhumane. By eating a soul, you're sacrificing your humanity for power and the urge for more.

As Meisters and Weapons, our part in this war is to eliminate Kishin eggs before they can kill and consume more people. Yes, it's important to defeat the Witches, but proceeding to that immediately is suicidal. A new Meister lacks experience and a Weapon would lack strength to defeat one. When a partnered pair defeats a Kishin egg, the Weapon is responsible for collecting the Kishin egg's soul. The tainted soul imbues the Weapon with more power.

Actually, Weapons are expected to become Deathscythes by collecting 99 Kishin Souls and a Witch's soul, but then entirety behind that is something I've been meaning to ask about.

[Oh... Naoto spoke for a while] ... Is there anything I've neglected to cover?

I dunno. But that's the best explanation I've gotten so far.
