[14 // video // 10 March]
[The video shows not the sender's face, but a puppy, most of a black-clad leg, and a bare foot with the remnants of black polish on the toenails. The puppy's growling and tugging at the jagged hem of the leather pants, as if they're a threat that must be neutralized.]
Who the hell does this belong to?
[Mello tries to pull his leg away, but the puppy seems to see this as escalation of the game, and gives a little bark before seizing the leather again.]
Hey! These were expensive, you little fucker!
[The picture goes dark as the communicator lands on the floor.]

Socks?
[He gives up and sits down, so that if the puppy has to tug at him, at least Mello won't fall over.]
I've found his owner; I won't be his entertainment for long.

That could work too, especially if you keep hold of one end and maybe put a knot in the middle so it's like a proper tug of war.
Not a pet person?
[oh hello private setting]
[This might be a lie, given that he's currently moving his leg just out of reach and watching the puppy chase after it.]
I grew up in an orphanage, and I was on the streets from barely fifteen. Pets are something other people had.
It was only a matter of time.
it's his way
Always. Bakura's come to expect it :)

I'm too busy to have anything counting on me.

He can't even take care of himself. We're talking about an adult I'd bet money has never been inside a grocery store.

Maybe it would be a good idea to get a pet then. Learning to take care of it might help both of you learn how to take care of yourselves a bit more, right? Since there'd be someone reliant on you that you wouldn't be annoyed at.

You make it sound like having tiny dependents is a good thing. I only need the one, thanks.

Besides, maybe it might help teach him out to take care of himself, if you can get him to help you take care of it.

I think the twit needs remedial lessons in shit like shoe-tying and water-boiling before I can turn him loose on a pet, anyway.

They're still a lot of fun to have around. I think Ulthar and Pelor were asleep when you came over that once, so you didn't get to meet them, did you?

How about I send you the twit, and he can practice on your cats?
