I have a question for those that have been here for a considerable amount of time: Just how frequently does BREW bring in new faces?

[ he doesn't really have a clue, considering he's only been around for two cycles of them. ]

Other than this, I have been reading up on a few things regarding human culture. Actually, I was looking for something to perhaps encourage more park visitors, and thus I began reading about different times of events. Presently, I'm open to a few ideas, if anyone feels like providing them.

Sometimes thought would be best to pilot ship into nearest sun. Could have hacked failsafes. But couldn't bring self to do it.

[ uncanny? he'd just call it paying attention to detail. to read someone.

but for the moment he doesn't let his dear friend go. the thought of suicide is disturbing. but Signless probably would have rather have died than live on. he has no room to judge. any of it.

That being said. There is only one expectation here: live. Not everyone here fights. It is not demanded of us to.

[A pat to Signless's shoulder, and Psii moves away. That was not so difficult. He thinks can remember how to do that.]

Why would they be so generous?

[ he sits up straighter, grinning. ]

[ Psii is one of the people that know him completely. inside and out. who has his unwavering trust. ]

My guess is that because Death the Kidd didn't actually mean to activate BREW at all.

BREW is security nightmare. Did not realize world was so primitive.

[Yes, his hacker sensibilities are offended.

He's also putting off asking another of his queries, because is embarrassed about it. Nutritional intake will be necessary, but Psii has not consumed real food in sweeps.]

[ Signless just smiles. he knows what a prideful hacker his friend is. ]

I don't think it is as primitive as it is different. They have some devices that are beyond our understanding, after all.

Now... Have you eaten yet?

[ he doesn't ask this because of any sixth sense. Signless asks because he had been starving upon arrival. ]

[He blinks after saying this. Is first time he has used word 'my' since being connected to ship.

And Psii thinks, not for the first time, that there is chance SS has tinge of yellow in blood, to be able to follow his train of thought that well.]

Have not. Am not sure what to eat. Do squishy aliens--humans. Do humans eat same food as trolls?

Not everything in the world revolves around codes and numbers.

[ just chuckling a bit and he stands, offering a hand. ]

Since I doubt you brought anything here for someone to cook, we'll have to go out. Humans do not eat grubs, for the record.

But all of life can be explained with correct codes and numbers.

[He thinks sounded a bit like old self there. He hesitates, then takes SS's hand and stands as well, leaning on his friend somewhat.]

What do humans eat?

Humans eat a wide variety of things. Some are similar to what we eat. You'll just have to see for yourself. I have yet to find anything I couldn't stomach.

[Psii will still try not to need too much help. His hardware may not be as functional as he'd like, and SS may have a gift for offering help in a way that makes it seem recipient is the one doing favor, but he has his pride.]

You already know. Is not relevant, and will only depress both. Would very much like some of Rosa's grubloaf, though.

[ what good is pride in the face of friendship, hmmm? off they start to go. there are plenty of places to eat, after all. ]

I'm sure she'd make it for you as best as she can. You only have to ask.

How long have you been here?

No, probably not. She was already in the midst of cooking a meal when I came back from my tour.

[ just grins. ]

I arrived about thirty or so nights ago, so I haven't been here too long.

Have already seen her. At Shibusen. Was lucky was found by another troll soon after arriving.

[If he hadn't seen anyone familiar, would probably have flipped shit worse than did.]

Do you know average duration of stay? Have seen mentions on network of people leaving.

She tends to stay at that particular part of the welcoming party for that reason, I believe.

[ he shakes his head. they are going to head to the cafe, though. Signless doesn't think ingesting greasy and solid food is wise. better stick things like breads and soups. ]

Some stay for months and others for weeks. BREW doesn't seem to have any pattern for it.

Must be some pattern to it. Could understand it, if still had powers!

[It's so frustrating, and everything suddenly threatens to become overwhelming: humans everywhere, the noise, unfamiliar smells. Psii tugs at SS's arm, silently asking him to slow down.]

Are you saying your mind is incapable of figuring it out without your powers?

[ pushing the pride button. he slows in his walking though, supporting his friend. ]

Would be easier with powers. [He says it sulkily, but challenge accepted.]

But can solve this problem even with buggy mind.

[ back to teasing. this walk is taking too long, but what more can he do? he's more or less playing the crutch here. ]

[It also stings Psii's pride that his body is so weak and slow, and he tries to walk faster, and fights the urge to apologize again.]

Am not picky about human food. Anywhere will do.
