Decimotercera ⚜ Roda [March 13th, afternoon; video]
[Today finds Fabiola perched somewhere high, and taking a well-deserved day off from her usual activities. She raises the hand holding a thermos- coffee, because she considers herself too mature a girl for something like hot chocolate- to the camera, and then takes a sip of her coffee, preparing herself to speak. She's not as long-winded as usual today, though perhaps it's for the best, considering what she wants to ask.]
I know a lot of people have left lately, and I know some of those here are better at handling it than others. So in the interest of helping those that do not take it as well as others...
[She shifts idly, peering over her hands at the ground below and scooting backward just a little.]
How do you make yourselves feel better, Death City? What do you do in order to keep pushing forward?

How do you make yourselves feel better, Death City? What do you do in order to keep pushing forward?
[voice]
[It takes her a moment to place the word in the context of the conversation, but eventually she gets it and makes a quiet sound- almost amused, but not quite.]
Oh- yes, I think I understand what you mean. Believe me when I say that is not the case- though I can see why you would think so.
[voice]
[and a soft laugh, but to actually answer your question...]
I like to listen to music, if you are looking for something specific, but I manage to find joy in many things.
[voice]
[She doesn't appreciate the laugh, but she will only pout a little.]
Music. What kind of music, if I may?
[voice]
[voice]
[A pause-]
Do you have anything you recommend?
[voice]
[voice]
[voice]
That. The tune seems fairly popular, but many are not able to place it as being Beethoven's work.
[voice]
[voice]
[a slight pause before he adds:]
Where are you right now? I have been exploring the city a great deal, but I have only really been at ground level so far, and you seem to be a great deal higher up.
[voice]
[Neeeeeeerd. She pauses a bit at the question herself and then-]
I am atop one of the buildings actually.
[She laughs a little, amused.]
I like to climb.
[voice]
[would it be weird to ask? ah, screw it.]
Would you mind if I joined you? I would like to feel the wind.
[voice]
By all means, please! Not very many people here take to being much higher than their apartments require, it seems.
[voice]
[voice]
[She types in an address, and some directions, to be certain he finds it.]
There we are! I should be rather easy to find, overall.
[voice]
((ooc: to action? (´・ω・`) ))
[voice] --> [action]
[She wonders if, perhaps, she has time to try and find another cup to share her coffee with him.]
((ooc: certainly! c: ))
[action]
but eventually, you get a thin albino kid approaching you from behind, head canting slightly as he confirms for himself that this is indeed the girl who had spoken with him on his first post.]
Miss Iglesias?
[action]
Kaworu, I take it?
[action]
speaking of which, he's taking a seat beside you unasked, just a tad closer than typical personal boundaries call for but not overly so. he doesn't want to be too mean to someone that was so pleasant to talk to, after all.]
You found a lovely spot. The breeze is lively up here.
[action]
[Fabiola's age always seems to throw people for a loop- a side-effect of growing up in difficult circumstances and taking it upon herself to be responsible. She smiles as he sits, and even if she notes how close he's sitting, she doesn't say anything about it. She's got really awkward friends in both worlds, honestly.]
I rather like it- though I have yet to convince anyone else to come up this high with me.
[action]
It is a shame. Too many people cling to what is familiar and safe and as a result miss out on the strange and beautiful.
[action]
It really is. What is the point of living life if you are not going to try to enjoy it as much as you can?
[Especially when you're born into circumstances that make that harder than normal.]
[action]
eventually, however, he feels the need to break the peace.]
I believe I owe you an answer, Miss Iglesias.
[action]
[She looks at him askance, shoulders rising in another idle shrug, heels tapping out an idle beat against the side of the building.]
But if you would like to answer me now, I will not object.
