So, my naturally scientific side can't help but wonder if BREW has any sort of rhyme or reason for who it brings in, and apparently there's already been interest on whether there is some sort of system. With that sort of discussion going on I can't help but wonder why nothing's been done about the lack of knowledge in that field, so I guess it's up to me. 

And with that said - 


[ She pushes blue hair behind her ear, squaring her shoulders and leveling a calm stare at the mirror, making sure she was making good eye contact. It'd be important if she was to be taken seriously, right? ]

if you've never seen me before, my name's Bulma Briefs, and I'm an inventor and scientist in my home world.

I'd like to gather some willing participants to see how many worlds this place has drawn people from, and what exactly your roles in these worlds have been. I'm not going to force anyone to participate, because I don't want any skewed results - but I also have to stress that nothing will go past me, so far as any 'secretive' information, and that I need absolute and objective honesty. 

There's no other way to do this than to rely on people to be truthful with their information, but I'm hoping that if we can find any sort of pattern, we'll be able to anticipate who may leave or arrive next. 



I haven't not finalized my list of things I'd like to know, but I'd like to hear input or questions about it, if anyone has any! I'll keep you all updated about my progress, too!

I'll be the only one with access to it. I'd like to be able to say we could do this anonymously, but it seems a bit defeatist to say it's anonymous and yet have details of where you're from and who your friends are, you know?

Most people will be able to infer from those details alone, anyway. But it's an ethics thing. As a researcher I will not release names if you request that I don't. It's sort of... [ She makes a strange gesture in the air, as if trying to gather the word she wants out of it. ]

.. An honors system. You participate and help me, so I'll keep your information to myself, if you want me to.

There are five people here from my world, and I knew three of the others personally when I was there. One I never met in person, but I was more than aware of him. Even considering the bias we talked about, I feel confident in saying we were all important.

1. Me.
2. My partner, who was a classmate and rival of mine at home.
3. My best friend.
4. Someone probably best described as my mentor.
5. The person who's the reason I'm dead.

If people reply privately, would you mind shooting me a summary at some point? I care less about names than associations.

My universe seems to be a popular target for BREW, if past arrivals and departures are anything to go by. Its patterns seem to trend towards inflicting the maximum amount of cruel irony on its unfortunate captives as possible.

Tell me about it, in terms of cruel irony. My little family's here just after a big battle and it's.. tough to readjust.

I expect the lack of knowledge on the subject has more to do with the shuffling of resources towards anything that can directly benefit the war effort, not for lack of interest.

And how do you expect to know what may be coming or going from your war force if you don't know how the hell your recruitment system works? Cutting your nose off before the actual battle isn't exactly beneficial.

[ Huff! She might not be able to really help in a fight, but at least she can do somthing, even if it's just with science! ] Sounds like something Vegeta would do, just barge right on in without a plan because you have big muscles and questionable brain synapse activity.

Is it just Qilby? And are you the only one from your world that's currently here?

No, I don't yet! But if you'd like I can distribute one when I actually get one whipped up. At the moment this is a bit of an informal gathering of information to gauge how many people would be interested in participating in this sort of thing...

[ But, okay, that's sort of interesting... how would she know about Vegeta, of all people? It wasn't like he was a ... you know... social type of guy. ]

But yes, even though there may be a handful of unwilling participants, this is certainly a step toward figuring out how BREW worked and what it looked for in people. Edgeworth had always assumed it saw something...something that was not always apparent to everyone, in each person it brought to Death City.

After all, why on earth would it need a prosecutor with zero battle experience? Did it see his potential to become the fighter he was now, or did it bring him to this world because of the skills he already possessed as a prosecutor? Or both? It puzzled him even after months of calling this city home.]

A pleasure to meet you, Miss Briefs. [A small, formal smile in greeting.] My name is Miles Edgeworth, and I was taken from a world very much like this one, and from a different time period. The year was 2019, although again, there are not a lot of marked differences between this world and mine.

If I might make a suggestion, creating a survey form for everyone may be more convenient for you and would hopefully yield more uniform data.

[ She smiles as he introduces himself, giving a little nod of recognition. Fortunately for Bulma (or perhaps thanks to her ego) - she pretty much thought she knew why she was here. After all, gathering great minds along with strength meant developing superior technology that might also help your fighters.

But then again, she could be wrong, even if she wasn't often wrong - ]

Ah, one world not over run with walking dead or otherwise ended.. that's good.. [ A little, breathy laugh. ]

Yes, that was the intention. But people have been.. more willing to give information than I'd thought in the beginning, and curiosity often gets the best of me, unfortunately..
