[So after a few days from his initial arrival, Steve finally decides to use the communicator he's given. He's not averse to using it, if the technology is helpful he's gonna work with it. He looks at the device, his expression friendly.]
Hello, this is Steve Rogers. Word is that I was here before, but guess that's happened to others too. Don't have my memories of that time, but I'm not against reintroducing myself and meeting anyone I've worked with before. [He's actually a little angry about that, but he's not showing it. It's sorta the opposite of waking up in New York, but still frustrating in its own way. Regardless, Steve remains calm and polite on the video feed.]
Not against meeting new soldiers- people, either. Trust in your comrades is always important. Doesn't matter what world you come from.

About ten months, I think. My partner and I are the longest-running guests in the city. [He snorts at that comment because it doesn't even touch on that iceberg.] No... he thinks humans are parasites.
[Neither is he, but he thinks it would be funny anyway.] But you do happen to receive a lot then?

Sounds that you and your partner have seen a lot. [Battles. Losing people.] He still thinks that way despite being here for ten months? And working with you?
Oh, not really. Not that I mind 'em.

Too much sometimes. [He isn't willing to say more on that topic.] Oh yeah, that's an improvement! Previously, he spent considerable time trying to kill me. Now he's mostly passive to everyone else and likes me.
...don't seem like the man-hugging type anyway. Probably for the best.

Know how that can get. [He doesn't give any details either. Although, Steve kinda pauses for a moment because wow, that's an improvement? At least Cloud sounds positive about it.] That's... definitely an improvement. Good that he's not trying to kill you. [And people call him an optimist.] Maybe he'll improve more.
Don't mean to appear distant. Most fellas I knew weren't the huggin' type. [Well, besides Bucky. But he's dead and Steve doesn't want to think about that too much.]

[He can't really go into details on a public channel, but he seems pleased at least.] Yeah, now he's just my stalker. I'm sure he will. He wasn't socialized as a child.
Most guys I knew weren't either, so don't worry about it. I respect the whole 'masculinity' thing. [Even though he's dressed in drag, spent a night in a hottub with spandex-wearing dudes and been molested by more than a few men.]

I sometimes toss my shield around, like a projectile. Although, not all shields are made for that. But can't be picky here, right?
