[So after a few days from his initial arrival, Steve finally decides to use the communicator he's given. He's not averse to using it, if the technology is helpful he's gonna work with it. He looks at the device, his expression friendly.]

Hello, this is Steve Rogers. Word is that I was here before, but guess that's happened to others too. Don't have my memories of that time, but I'm not against reintroducing myself and meeting anyone I've worked with before. [He's actually a little angry about that, but he's not showing it. It's sorta the opposite of waking up in New York, but still frustrating in its own way. Regardless, Steve remains calm and polite on the video feed.]

Not against meeting new soldiers- people, either. Trust in your comrades is always important. Doesn't matter what world you come from.

Yes, a fella named Neji told me about my last stay here. Don't think we have met before, but it's good to meet you.

[Anime these days. For what it's worth, Johan's hair is certainly not the oddest Steve will potentially run into?]

It's good to meet you, too! [... Wait, he hasn't actually introduced himself, yet. He laughs a little, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck as he remembers that wow he should probably do that.] My name's Johan. I don't think there's a lot here that I'd be able to tell you about that someone else hasn't gotten to yet, but if you have any questions, I'll help any way I can!

[He hasn't run into Yugi yet. But he smiles at him.]

I appreciate it, Johan. If you need any assistance in the future, I'd be glad to help. Know that I'm still new around here, but I have some experience with a few things.

Ohh? [He looks pretty interested.] What kinds of things?

Mainly war, training and fighting in it.

But working as a team too.

[That would certainly explain the 'soldiers' slip-up from the entry, he figures.]

I know a guy back home who has a lot of military training! You... are a lot less stoic than he is. [He laughs a little.] He's a good guy, though, I got to work with him quite a bit!

Soldiers come in all types.

What did you two work on?

Well, at one point, the Academy we were staying at got sent to some kind of parallel dimension. We helped fight off some monsters together, as well as stop a few students who had been possessed by evil masks.

[It takes a moment before it dawns on him how completely bizarre that might sound, even if he didn't bring up the fact that it was all done via card games. There were people here who seemed to be baffled by less, and he's really not sure what kind of world Steve comes from. He laughs sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.]

He also came to help rescue me after I was kidnapped, once. [There. That was a pretty normal way to describe that situation, he figures.]

[It's a little unusual, but Steve believes him.] Parallel dimensions and evil masks, huh? Must've been an odd situation to deal with.

[Steve becomes a little worried] You're all alright now?

One of the odder situations, yeah.
