Few announcements and a question.

First, I’m Matt and I have a business called Black Mesa. It's a House Call Technician business, and we fix computers, broadcasting and wireless systems, business equipment and security system. If anyone is interested or just wants a job, call me maybe.

Second, I’m doing missions, have a nice record, and kind of want to keep going. So I’m currently looking for a Meister who would be cool with going on missions. I’m a Weapon, a Portal gun; I shoot regular bullets and also create Portals.

Third, imagine you have raw steaks. How hard it is to cook them? And how do cook them exactly?

I'm unsure if it's a 8REW thing or a side effect of returning to life after 8illions of years.

My mind only lived 19 years, so I don't know much, tbh.

Do you remember at least parts of your life?

My 8iggest recollection is a memory of a version of myself in a parallel universe. I recall distinctly that I am "not her." Which is a rather poor 8asis of comparison, to 8e sure. I find it comforting to know at least that much.

Are your memories returning slowly? Like amnesia, I suppose?

I hope not. Amnesia is typically a result of 8rain trauma or neural degradation. I... somewhat feel that the memories are there. O8scured in void. Were I to possess my original powers, I would have no dou8t this would not 8e an issue.

Won't stimuli help them to return?

Somewhat. I remem8ered Meenah right away, 8ut when it came to the memories of the... er... "adult trolls," I had more difficulty recalling their alternate-universe iterations.

Which is to say, the trolls that I am familiar with.

So, the more people showing up from your world, faster you'd regain your memories, you would say?

Only one person has arrived from my world specifically.

Ah, perhaps it would make more sense if I descri8ed it like this.

Imagine two universes side 8y side. They are echoic, which is to say, individuals that occur in one universe occur in the second. Except, they differ in ideology. The first universe 8elieves in self-sacrifice and the common welfare of others and is ruled over 8y a 8enevolent matriarch, while the second universe 8elieves in freedom and independence, while ruled over 8y a megalomaniacal tyrant. With the exception of myself and my friend, all of the trolls you see here come from that second universe, the home of Alternia. They are as my friends are, and yet they are not 8ecause they differ from the environmental factors that predicated their 8irth. I know their stories well, 8ut when it comes to the tales of that first universe and that of my people, I draw upon a dark shadow of forgetfulness.

And each Universe played that game I have heard about.

Is there a reason why you remember theirs but not yours? Or is it a matter of "theirs is happening and yours happened billions of years ago?

If I could tell you the reason, then I think I would have made a significant step in recovering my lost memories. Don't you think?

Not exactly; this world nullified everyone's powers (the ones that had them), and like you said, if you had them you'd easily be able to recover your memories.

If the reason is linked to your powers, for example, there isn't much you can actually do.
