[ She wasn't going to put out a public service announcement like this, but the recent kidnappings have her a little frazzled - and her nights full of tossing and turning once more. She could really use a session with Claire lately, but it's not likely to happen.

Her blue eyes focus on the screen, and she frowns deeply. ] Don't trust him.

[ Before she says anymore - which may or may not incite mass panic, a thing she does not want - Audrey shuts off the feed. ]

Who is he?

[ She swallows hard, using the pause in conversation to gather her bearings and map out what information she wants to give. ]

We thought he was our friend. He was a detective from Boston who came to Haven looking for a serial killer, who turned out to be a Troubled person. [ She stops for a moment, glancing away from the screen. Her mouth is a firm line and her nostrils flare, obviously stressed by the memory of that particular Trouble. Nix was one of the more horrific Troubled people they'd come across - and definitely not worth helping. ] After that was over with, he stayed on as a detective with Haven PD, but...

[ Her jaw tenses. ] Right before I came here, he killed my partner. It turns out that he's the serial killer who kidnapped me a few months ago, looking for The Colorado Kid. He's the Bolt Gun Killer.

[Their worlds may be different, but the fact that this guy got a name like that tells Mello the case got a lot of attention, which means it had to be gruesome, involve a lot of victims, or both.]

And you have reason to believe he's here?

[She wouldn't be worried if she didn't; she's not dumb.]

I'm sorry to hear about your partner.

[It's only an afterthought in that it doesn't occur to him as a thing he ought to say until now.]

[ Technically speaking, the name is a product of Audrey, Nathan, and Duke's imagination; the media never got wind of the connection between the murders because of how much they seemed to be tied in with the Troubles in Haven - which are kept so hush hush that the Chief of Police had employed a person specially to clean up the messes they made.

She nods at his question. ]

Kidnappings are part of his MO.

[ She takes a deep breath, obviously working up some extra nerve. ] Would you do me a favor? I know your friend was one who went missing - and I'm sorry for that. But could you see if there's anything... missing?

[ She's trying to put it delicately. Though Matt - who she has never met but assumes is a guy - should be safe. The Bolt Gun Killer only seemed to take parts from his female victims. ]

And thanks. It was scary at first, seeing him like that, but thankfully he's better now. [ She frowns. ] Or at least he was when I was brought here. I hope he still is.

He's darker, and just a little taller than me. Pretty broad too.

[That's pretty vague, though. As far as descriptions go. On the other hand, they didn't exactly have a lot of people with dark skin here so there's that.]
