[It’s been awhile, but Barricade’s decided to grace the network with his anonymous presence. Kidnappings and rescue missions aren’t all that interesting to him, after all. Let the humans sort out their own.]

I think everyone here is in agreement that BREW is a terrible invention. What really bothers me about it, though, is the fact that it’s obsessed with pulling in more humans than anything else. It’s a disturbing thought if humanity is the common denominator across endless realities, isn’t it?

I suppose it sticks with what it knows, which is consistent for a machine built by humans and not helpful at all. Human conflict solved by human ineptitude isn’t a very good strategy. I’d give it some points for wising up and bringing in superior species every once and awhile, except none of us want to be here. The only comforting part about humanity infesting so many realities is that there’s always something actively trying to wipe it out. That's a universal constant I can live with.

I hardly know where to start. How about hypocrisy? They stand on a moral high ground when it comes to torture and imprisonment, but do it to their own people. If it's an alien species, they really pull out the stops, since the victim isn't 'human' and it's in the interest of 'national security' or whatever they want to call it. Then, of course, they balk when their own are tortured or imprisoned, as if they'd never heard of such a thing.

Is that why you choose to stay anonymous? It's hardly as if you should be wary of sharing any of this with the class under your actual identity. Your belief and experience is worth just as much as anyone else's, you know.

Stealth and subterfuge are more my style, no matter where I am. I haven't lived this long by being obvious when my opinion was in the minority.

Whatever works for you, but there's the problem with your logic. By applying the values of your humans to the humans here, you're not exactly getting an accurate picture of what's around you. It's not like I care or anything, but it certainly looks like you're displaying a very human trait yourself by perceiving rather than judging. Just so you know.

I'm also forced to use human language and human technology to even communicate with anyone around here. The alien bias can't be avoided, and those comparisons can be made. Not like you care, though.
