[There is quite abruptly a very upset teenage troll on the screen. He's glaring at the camera as if it has personally offended him. Normally he would have done this over text, but he wants to see familiar faces, and besides, the best speeches aren't given over text.]
Listen up, nooksniffers. Here's how this is going to go. I don't have time for this war. I'm already fighting in one, and that one I actually give a shit about. Since I can't leave until this place stops getting his ass kicked, the plan is to win this stupid war as quickly as possible so we can all get back to our miserable lives wherever we came from.
Okay? Good. So, what's being done around here to get everyone battle ready? Whatever it is, sign me up. I need to figure out this whole fucking "being a weapon" thing. [He even does the air quotes for added effect.] Talk to me about the training and shit. Otherwise, keep your squawk blisters shut and brutally destroy those Kishin things.
With one exception. [He raises his pointer finger at the camera. It is not the finger he's used to raising, and he very nearly flubs that up. He's used to giving speeches over text, alright. Maybe he should have done that instead...] I've already seen a couple of familiar faces around here, which leads me to believe there might be more somewhat tolerable assholes around here that I might be familiar with. If you are one of those losers, report to me so I know who's here and therefore not in as much grave danger. Worrying about you bulgelickers is a full time fucking job, alright, and I don't want to have to worry any more than I have to, because it's annoying as shit.
Alright, I'm out. [There's a little fumble and a muffled curse, along with a lovely view of the floor of Karkat's place in Casualty Communal before the feed cuts out.]

Eridan.

[of course, that's all a bit moot now that eridan's gone.]

[Be prepared, because romance is serious business with him. He takes a deep breath and begins.] Alright, so I'm assuming since you were out as Eridan's moirail you know the basics. Being someone's palemate means you look out for them and watch their back, and you do the same for the same. That's the basic definition, but there's more to it than that, of course. You're at your most open with your moirail. There the one person you should be comfortable completely opening up to. Moirails have feelings jams, usually on a pile, but not always, where you talk about your feelings and what's happening with your life, and your partner does the same.
It shouldn't be a one-sided relationship, but at the same time, there's usually a partner that's more in need of pacifying, and the other partner's job is to help them out with us. A highblood like Eridan is more naturally violent and unstable, so he has a pretty strong need for a good moirail. So, in your case, unless you have some serious issues, Eridan would be the one needing to be pacified. It's your job to look out for him and to be on his side, but also to make sure he doesn't do something stupid and get himself in trouble. If he needs a shoosh pap, you need to be there to deliver. You balance Eridan out as his moirail, and help him work out his issues. At the same time, he compliments your personality, and you can count on his support and comfort in exchange for yours.
...Does that make sense? I know it's a lot to take in, and I've noticed troll romance is a pretty hard concept for humans to grasp, but if you're still alright with asking, then I'm assuming things didn't turn out horribly for you two, which means you must have done something right.

As long as it worked for the two of you then it was a good relationship. Every pale partnership does things a little differently, depending on the personalities and needs of those involved. If you feel you were successful, than you probably were. Eridan tends to make it known pretty damn quickly and dramatically if he doesn't like something.
He was rather dramatic. But he was quick to make it known when he was happy as well.
That's Eridan. I'm glad to hear he had a moirail when he was here. He needed one really badly, and that messed up a lot of shit for him-and for us. Some trolls can get buy without a moirail, but Eridan wasn't one of them.
