Listen up, nooksniffers. Here's how this is going to go. I don't have time for this war. I'm already fighting in one, and that one I actually give a shit about. Maybe he should have done that instead...] I've already seen a couple of familiar faces around here, which leads me to believe there might be more somewhat tolerable assholes around here that I might be familiar with. If you are one of those losers, report to me so I know who's here and therefore not in as much grave danger. Worrying about you bulgelickers is a full time fucking job, alright, and I don't want to have to worry any more than I have to, because it's annoying as shit.

It's my Meister ability, though I've always had a similar ability in my world. Azusa-san assisted with me with perfecting the ability, as she possesses Clairvoyance, as well.

No, but thanks to her assistance, I've unlocked its secondary ability to resonate across distances and increase my range of vision. It's very useful.

Yeah, I'd imagine it's useful as shit. Can you still see what's in front of you when you're doing that? I mean, it's great for long distance surveillance and shit, but it doesn't sounds as good in an active battle situation.

That depends how far I've extended and if I'm focused on something at longer distances. I can take in my immediate surroundings as well as detect everything within a 200 meter radius, but further than that, I need someone to cover me while I'm distracted.

Oh, well that's not so bad, I guess. So you can tell when there's enemies nearby? You can tell the difference between just a regular old soul and a witch or something, right?

Unfortunately, Clairvoyance lacks the insight of Soul Perception, so while I can locate souls, I can't accurately differentiate between them based on the appearance of their soul alone.

That sucks! So you could be headed towards someone you think might be an ally and then oops it turns out to be fucking ferocious and want to destroy you?

Not quite. As long as I know a soul is there, I can investigate it through other means before approaching.

Other means? Like what?

Manual investigation, for one. If I can close the distance somewhat, they may be seen through binoculars. And resonance attempts for another, although that's obviously more risky, announcing my presence to an unknown soul. And if a soul is of particular interest, I have the skills necessary to follow it unnoticed for a time.

Yeah, I can tell. Our world too. We don't have all the crazy powers and shit though. Or at least I don't. I just know my way around a weapon or two.

Do you mind if I inquire how those from your world are trained?

Well, it depends on what you mean by my world. John and Dave are from "my world" but they were trained differently than I am, and Dave was trained much more extensively than your average human. Troll society is centered around war. We're a really violent race, and you have to survive the trials before you can even receive a lusus and a hive. Depending on where you're at in the hemospectrum, there will always be people trying to kill you, but it's for different reasons. And as an adult, we would all go off into space and conquer other planets and races, so you had to be fully battle ready before you reached adulthood. It was mostly up to you to learn the skills you needed yourself though, especially because there wasn't really a common weapon everyone used. Some weapons were more popular than others though, and my weapon, sickles, were used by the threshecutioners, so I had some help watching their moves online and in movies and shit.
