Recent conversations have sparked some curiosity in me.

We all come from different worlds and different times, and I can't help but wonder what some of the common myths, legends, and fairy tales are in these times and places. Such things can be very telling of the people from which they come and I think I might enjoy making a collection of sorts and analyzing them.

So, Death City, if you would be so kind tell me about your worlds and the stories you've been raised on. The more detail the better, and if you know anything of their origin that is better yet.

A God.

People considered me an unpleasant god.

[Huh. He is not the first deity she has met, but still. It was hard to get use to the idea that BREW could bring Gods against their will.]

Why would that be, if I may ask?

Because they fear what I lord over and that I am both adamantine and unyielding. Not even the light lord dares to give me commands, for he knows that I might not heed them any more than the word of the next man.

[A deity considered unpleasant by virtue of what they command. Rival to the lord of light. Going off the archtypes of myths and legends she has to guess the lord of darkness? Death? Maybe even pestilence. That always seemed to be a rather feared one too, if not as common.

She doesn't voice her thoughts--it doesn't seem especially polite.]

I s33. If I may then, could I ask what myths there are of you and your kind?

A lot, and many of them with content that would be considered x-rated nowadays. I think they do have books on it in the library. Try 'Greek Myths'.

Oh! I think I have read a couple of them in that case. Not too many.

[Well that helps her in figuring out who this might be then]

Are they accurate?

Not in the least. Pretty much the only thing they got right were our names and our domains.

What are some of the largest errors?

About sixty to eighty percent of the gods that make up our supposed pantheon do not exist. We also don't have sex with mortals in any form or shape. Having a bull rape a human woman is still somewhat technically possible but a swan or an ant are pushing it a bit far.
