Recent conversations have sparked some curiosity in me.

We all come from different worlds and different times, and I can't help but wonder what some of the common myths, legends, and fairy tales are in these times and places. Such things can be very telling of the people from which they come and I think I might enjoy making a collection of sorts and analyzing them.

So, Death City, if you would be so kind tell me about your worlds and the stories you've been raised on. The more detail the better, and if you know anything of their origin that is better yet.

Oh no! I wouldn't want to trouble you. Would you still be there in about an hour or two? I can come by myself once I have finished speaking with others.

[About an hour and a half later Di is making her way to the agency. She had passed by it several times before, but had never really had any reason to enter it until now. She pushes the doors open, peeking in and looking around.]

Hello?

[Thankfully, Genesis had enough sense to look out for her when he realized that he forgot to give her his name.]

Were you the one asking for stories on the network?

[scribes]

Yes! That would be me. [She enters, closing the door behind her]

My name is Di. [She holds out a hand to shake]

[recitings]

A pleasure to meet you, Di. I'm Genesis. [And he gives her hand a firm shake.]

[scribes]

Likewise. [She smiled] I hope I didn't keep you too long. I had a lot more responses to my question than I had anticipated.

[recitings]

[He laughs]

To be quite honest, I was interested in everyone else's answers as well. I love listening to stories too.

[scribes]

Well there is something we share--though being a writer I would only have expected it. [And really, Genesis already has her admiration for that]

[recitings]

[He laughs.] Do you write, too?

[scribes]

I do, though I'd say I'm more of a historian--I write down the words of others.

[recitings]

Interesting.

Actually, what I had published isn't totally my own work. It's a tale from ancient times-- an epic about friends caught in the tides of war. I merely supplied notes to help others in this world understand the poetry.

[scribes]

[Ooh. That sounds like something she would enjoy very much.]

Do you think it's something that may have actually happened? After coming here separating truth from fiction has become increasingly more difficult. [Not that she especially minds. If anything she finds it fascinating.]

It could have, really. I wouldn't be surprise. Often, fiction falls terribly close to reality.
