Hey everyone!

... I know what I'm about to ask might be a bit weird, since we just got back from a skiing trip, but my friend Minako and I have been talking about setting something like this up for a while, so I'm going to go ahead and ask this anyway.

How many of you would be interested in having a beach trip or something sometime in the future. Not right away, obviously. We did just get back from a vacation day, but both of us figure that gathering interest now and planning things is better than trying to rush it all at the last minute.

[ Not to mention that, you know, people knowing about it in advance would make it easier to not have something else come up and make it so it needed to be pushed back because she hadn't had time to ask about it. ]

Also, if people are interested, what type of food would you like us to have there when it happens? Though I guess we might need to ask again closer to the date, depending on how many new people we get by the time we decide to actually have this.

[ Though you know, maybe she should say something else too. ]

Anyway, I have something else to talk about too. Something a little bit more important than a vacation day. My partner and I are thinking about trying to take on more missions than we have been. But... I'm not exactly sure what's a good balance. Like... how often should we go on more missions?

I mean, I know that we're not allowed to go on one everyday or more than two in a week. But for partners who haven't gone on that many before, is that a good schedule to follow? Or should we try to do one every week instead of two a week? I don't want the two of us to burn out on missions because we thought we were fine and then we suddenly crash, since that's not really going to help anyone out here. Does anyone who's been going on missions steadily for a while have any advice here?

But I must admit, I'm impressed that she was able to use a glaive. She must be really skilled in fighting to use a weapon like that!

After I got used to her, she wasn't that hard to use at all.

As for how she's able to use one. Well... she's been training for a long time. It'd be weird if she wasn't skilled.

Then as long as you can use her, that's all that matters right? As long as you're able to defend yourself in a place like this! That's the most important!

Yeah. I guess that is all that matters. As long as the two of us can help each other here, we're really all set.

[ At least until they figure out that they can't handle as many missions as they want to, anyway. ]

Hm, it is certainly a little different from what I'm use to. I don't think I'll have any trouble getting use to this place, Chika-san. It just takes a while that's all. It was kind of the same when I first started out back at my school when I first arrived!

[Yeah, this is nothing!]

... You're comparing getting thrown into a city in another world where there's a world going on to school?

[ There's a pause after that sentence, before she giggles. ]

Wow. I am SO glad I didn't go to the same school as you.

My school wasn't that bad! It's just a similar feeling!

It's like a new experience and a whole new set of rules you're use to.

[Not exactly the same but...]

Still, I get what you mean. This place is definitely a lot to get used to.

What about you? Was this place a little different from what you were use to back home?

It can't be that big of a difference could it?

Well... other than all the Halloween like decorations, not really.

The war part was something that I didn't even begin to know about. The last time one happened, I was pretty young and definitely not on the front lines fighting it.

[Okay, that made Miki raise an eyebrow or two]

Really? You had a war back home as well?

[Uh...well shit]

... Kinda. But well, not really at the same time. It was pretty short. And wasn't like a formally declared one or anything and was pretty crazy and hard to describe.

Also, I was ten and other than "some guy manipulating everyone so he could try to take over the world and blow up another one", I didn't really have most of the details.

[Meanwhile all Miki could do was stare at the screen. Um, what?]

Well, that sounds like it was quite the predicament you and everyone else were in at that time.

But that's a little weird he would just suddenly want to take over the world like that though!

... It was. It... well, everything mostly ended up okay. It could've been a lot worse.

As for him, it was less 'suddenly' and more like the guy who put him in charge of stuff was being blind.

[Miki was only silent. That's quite the way to go.]

But he was fine in the end right? Or I certainly wish that he didn't...you know...

We... don't know. No one ever found the body, and another problem as a result of what he did showed up immediately after. So no one even had the time to go and look.

[It's just one thing after another!]

Then what else happened? After he went blind, was there something one who agreed with his ideals and wanted to everyone else to follow?

At least, I certainly hope not.

No. Umm... it was more like the actual fabric of the universe started to fall apart after all that he did, so some other guy from that other world decided to blow up the earth so our worlds wouldn't collide together.

Excuse me but...I'm afraid I don't understand what you're talking about. Are you saying that he wanted to destroy the world because they're worried both worlds could kill everyone?

No. No. This was a different guy. More of a computer program thing, if you want to get really technical. We never found out what happened to the first genocidal and power hungry maniac.

The more you explain this, the more I'm starting to wonder about your world. It does seem rather....interesting and especially with things wanting to destroy the earth. Not to mention with talks of genocide too!

Yeah. I realized about halfway through all of this that I'm not really explaining it well at all.

But the most important thing is that you're safe right? And that this
while ordeal is over and everything is okay?
