☆ 002 | TEXT | 2/06 ☆
[He'd been keeping out of the way during the recent chaos for the most part, his strong sense of self-preservation leaving him disinclined to take up an active roll - that, and he may still have been sulking just a little over the results of a run-in with a certain detested someone while under the influence of the contaminated water - but that doesn't mean he hasn't been watching. On the contrary, he'd quite enjoyed witnessing the turmoil produced by recent events, and has been keeping a careful eye on the DEMISE network just to make certain he doesn't miss anything that might be useful to him, later.
But now all the chaos has died down and he's feeling a little bored, so he deems it time to re-engage with Death City society]
Ah well, that was certainly a baptism by fire! So much has happened, and all in the last ten days since my arrival. Witches and kidnappings and chaos in the streets, even potential serial killings on top of it all; enough to unnerve or at least unsettle most people, I would have thought. Is this the level of danger we'll be facing on a regular basis, I wonder? I'd been led to believe otherwise.
How many of you did the attacks convince to fight as we've been brought here to do? How many were dissuaded? I myself am still undecided.
The list of deaths and casualties was fairly high, so my condolences to anyone who's experienced a recent loss or disappearance. It's strange and perhaps a little disorientating to find ourselves in a situation like this, and that must be made significantly worse if the people you know - either those you've met since arriving here or those you might have known from home - are lost or threatened. Unless those people were ones you found threatening, I suppose, which is always a possibility.
Which leads me to another question! Have many people here chosen to locate partners amongst those they knew before coming to Death City? Or is it more common to pair off with those you've only just met? I suppose I'm feeling a little curious.

AND THEN THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO LUCKED OUT AND DON'T KNOW ANYBODY HERE. YOU CAN'T BLAME PEOPLE FOR WANTING TO LOOK AROUND.
[text]
[The only people he is familiar with are someone he considers a psychotic retard and that someone's brother, so they're out of the question :| Not that he's particularly concerned about finding a partner]
So you're not human, then?
[text]
AND NO, I'M A TROLL. YOU MOST HAVE MADE A COMFORTABLE HIVE FOR YOURSELF UNDER A ROCK THE SIDE OF THIS STUPID HILLY CITY IF YOU HAVEN'T RUN INTO ONE OF US YET.
[text]
[Besides...he's not exactly popular, where he's from]
I've not been here long, and I'll admit I've been keeping out of the way thanks to recent events, but I've heard of you, sure.
[Because he's a creeper]
[text]
still a little put off though.]
YEAH, WELL WITH ALL THE SCREAMING BEDLAM GOING ON AROUND HERE LATELY I SHOULDN'T BE ALL THAT SURPRISED BY ANYBODY TRYING TO STAY THE FUCK OUT OF IT.
SO WHAT'S WITH ALL THE QUESTIONS, ANYWAY?
[text]
Again, I'm just curious. I'm new here and there's still a lot of things I need to figure out. It's all a little overwhelming, to be honest.

[He'd been just a little distracted by the pain from the knifewound in his side, coming fresh from hospital as he had. Still, the purpose of his questions right now have more to do with getting to know people better and discovering whether any of them might be of interest, but that's not something he's prepared to share, of course]

"NOT BEING IN THE RIGHT FRAME OF MIND" SEEMS TO BE KIND OF A COMMON TRAIT AROUND HERE IF YOU ASK ME.
IT'S LIKE
THE COMMON STATE OF BEING FOR A LOT OF THESE STALKSHITTERS. JUST THIS CONSTANT STEADY THRUM FROM MOUTHBREATHING IMBECILES WHO NEVER QUITE KNOW WHAT THE FUCK'S GOING ON.
