☆ 002 | TEXT | 2/06 ☆
[He'd been keeping out of the way during the recent chaos for the most part, his strong sense of self-preservation leaving him disinclined to take up an active roll - that, and he may still have been sulking just a little over the results of a run-in with a certain detested someone while under the influence of the contaminated water - but that doesn't mean he hasn't been watching. On the contrary, he'd quite enjoyed witnessing the turmoil produced by recent events, and has been keeping a careful eye on the DEMISE network just to make certain he doesn't miss anything that might be useful to him, later.
But now all the chaos has died down and he's feeling a little bored, so he deems it time to re-engage with Death City society]
Ah well, that was certainly a baptism by fire! So much has happened, and all in the last ten days since my arrival. Witches and kidnappings and chaos in the streets, even potential serial killings on top of it all; enough to unnerve or at least unsettle most people, I would have thought. Is this the level of danger we'll be facing on a regular basis, I wonder? I'd been led to believe otherwise.
How many of you did the attacks convince to fight as we've been brought here to do? How many were dissuaded? I myself am still undecided.
The list of deaths and casualties was fairly high, so my condolences to anyone who's experienced a recent loss or disappearance. It's strange and perhaps a little disorientating to find ourselves in a situation like this, and that must be made significantly worse if the people you know - either those you've met since arriving here or those you might have known from home - are lost or threatened. Unless those people were ones you found threatening, I suppose, which is always a possibility.
Which leads me to another question! Have many people here chosen to locate partners amongst those they knew before coming to Death City? Or is it more common to pair off with those you've only just met? I suppose I'm feeling a little curious.

May I ask you name?

And I'm not in sex industry, just a step down. I'm an exotic dancer.
text;
And I always thought exotic dancing was considered part of the sex industry, just on the periphery of it. But I suppose you'd know more about that than me.
text;
Sex industry involves sexual acts. Body industry doesn't. In a way it means prostitutes and pornography with sexual acts are part of the Sex Industry and strippers and erotic models for magazines are part of the Body Industry.
By law, it's all in the same bag, but it's very different for those who work in it. I don't have sex with my clients, nor I perform sexual acts alone for them. There are strippers who do, though.
[ooc: I... actually researched this on the Internet. MY LIFE ._.]
text;
I see! You learn something new every day ☆
[Lol!! That's correct though! I've had psychological papers published on exotic dancing...what is MY life haha ;_;]
Re: text;
Erotica Jones is my "daily life cover" as an exotic dancer, and Stripperella is my Superhero name. In the end I'm just and agent, and if required, I might be placed somewhere else and give a new Superhero and daily life name.
I'm glad I could teach you something.
text;
I guess you must have had a name at one time though, before becoming a Superhero/Secret-Agent?
text;
Perhaps I had, but I don't remember it. I was recruited young, since my mother and brother also worked for the agency.
text;
Well. It sounds as though the world you came from was far more interesting than mine.
[Not entirely true, but there's no reason to divulge any of that and risk giving himself away to certain people he'd much rather not have to deal with. It's bad enough that the protozoan already knows he's here :|]
text;
I suppose. There were... unusual things that made our days exciting, I guess.
text;
Unusual things?

[Though perhaps less than he's letting on, given the supernatural beings occasionally present on the Ikebukuro streets]
