As I said, I am curious. I wanted to know more about your world and your place in it. And what you mean by "but a term" as well.

A term. Is this so difficult a concept?

You know the name and numerical designation, and are apparently an Angel yourself, but then refer to it as "but a term". Forgive me if I do not know what to make of that.

And is it common for Angels in your world to take a human form?

A term of status or standing, as mortals use the terms of "mister" or "miss" in their daily conversation.

And no. It isn't. I should never have been granted a mortal form had it not been for circumstance.

I see. I thought you meant the angel itself. [good to know he might exist elsewhere. kind of strange, but kind of comforting too.]

What sort of circumstance is that?

There's an angel corresponding to the Tabris to you. [ Less of a question, more of a statement. When is it anything but? ]

[and casually ignoring that statement for the moment...]

The final battle came and you took a human form for it. [he can accept that much. not like the didn't do the same thing himself.] And what about the others?

To an extent, we all did. Why does this interest you so?

Because the angels in my world chose forms they thought better suited for their battles, nothing at all similar to the Lilin in any way beyond the genetic code.

[except him but he's the family weirdo so that hardly counts.]

They chose forms more similar to their own original, yes?

We chose ours for the ease they allowed us to consort with His creations.

No, more...monstrous, I suppose. Why deceive the humans like that? I do not imagine such a strategy would work more than once anyway...

[rebellious]

They respond better to that which is most familiar. A mortal face, a mortal voice. To comprehend anything more beyond that is a stretch upon their abilities, more often than not.

Was it not so with you, with these monstrous forms?

Perhaps, but as I said, the Lilin would not have been fooled more than once. The more monstrous forms, while less subtle, had their merits.

[rebellious]

What did you accomplish, with such? [ a dire sort of curiosity; what could be gained with such unsubtle means? what could have been avoided? ]

[diedforyoursins]

I had no part in any of that, but some came close to succeeding. I am not saying they should have, just...if all used such a deceptive strategy it would accomplish nothing beyond making the Lilin paranoid and suspicious of each other, and likely lead to internal fighting. I suppose that might be considered a success in its own way, but it seems unnecessarily cruel.

Cruelty was not our intent; containment of Lucifer's vessel, however, was.

Was it not so with you? [ curiouser and curiouser ]

...I believe there may be a crucial difference between our worlds.

Is the Morning Star not walking free upon your world?

[diedforyoursins]

I am not sure what that refers to, but there is no Lucifer in my world, no demons or anything of the sort. The final struggle is over the Earth, against mankind.

Against, not for. Not with.

How has mankind become your foe?

[diedforyoursins]

[not even gonna argue the "not his foe" part, because. it feels like there has been an intelligence leak here and it is probably eridan's fault.]

Earth belonged to Adam first. The Lilin gaining it was an accident. The Angels seek only to reclaim what is theirs.

The Earth was never meant to be ours to begin with. It was the property of His greatest creations.

[ strange, this is strange. utterings of a madman or someone similar. ]

We only set foot upon its soil to defend it against that which would harm it.

You world sounds much more accurate to Christian beliefs, I think. Where I come from, the Bible is simply a book that managed to get a few things right.
