[So after a few days from his initial arrival, Steve finally decides to use the communicator he's given. He's not averse to using it, if the technology is helpful he's gonna work with it. He looks at the device, his expression friendly.]

Hello, this is Steve Rogers. Word is that I was here before, but guess that's happened to others too. Don't have my memories of that time, but I'm not against reintroducing myself and meeting anyone I've worked with before. [He's actually a little angry about that, but he's not showing it. It's sorta the opposite of waking up in New York, but still frustrating in its own way. Regardless, Steve remains calm and polite on the video feed.]

Not against meeting new soldiers- people, either. Trust in your comrades is always important. Doesn't matter what world you come from.

[He rubs the back of his head for a moment.] Apparently so. If BREW can take powers away, doesn't seem much of a long shot that it can take memories too.

Haven't met anyone else like this yet. But Neji, the person that told me, seems to be a trustworthy fella.

[His expression doesn't change much, but he looks a little sulky for a brief moment.]

I'm from 2012. Well, I mean it's the year where I was taken from. [He doesn't want to give out his whole life story.]

Are you from around that time? [He doesn't really know that many young folks with white hair otherwise. But dyeing hair seems to be common in the 'present day.' Assuming this guy is from Earth in the first place.]

Yeah, that's about right. [he did catch that look, and his grin takes on an apologetic air.] Sorry, I just haven't really heard anyone talking like that since...what, the 40's? 50's? No one that isn't ancient, at least.

It's fine, probably is a little unusual to hear nowadays.

Guess you could say I'm more comfortable with that era. [Well 30s and 40s for him, but close enough.]

That's cool. How old are you, anyway? [he's not the best at keeping track of dates and time passed and all that but he knows that era wasn't all that recent by normal human standards.]

[Well, that's an abrupt question. Steve pauses for a moment before answering.] Awake for twenty-six years now. [He doesn't enjoy lying, so he tries to be as truthful as possible. It's not like he was awake during the time in the ice.]

"Awake"? [yeah, maybe he's prying a bit too much. but he's curious by nature and the question is out before he can think better of it.]

To make a long story short, I was sorta in a coma for a while.

Oh. Sorry.

[Steve forces a smile at him.] It's okay, I'm awake now. I can help out again. [Helping out in war. Seems that's what he always wakes up to nowadays.]

It's not your war, though.

It's not, but long as innocent people are being threatened, I'm not gonna let that go on either.

[he blinks at first, surprised, but then grins and shakes his head.]

And that troll guy said there was no such thing as heroes.

It's not really about being a hero, I just wanna do the right thing here. Protecting others, standing up to bullies, it doesn't matter what world it is.

Oh, no, I didn't... [good job jack, talking to yourself will totally make you friends.] I mean.... No, yeah. That's cool.

[Steve lets it go.] It's been a pleasure speaking you, Son. Don't think I caught your name though.

[he appreciates that bro.] Jack Frost. And you said your name's Steve, right?

[He looks a little surprised.] That's right. You named after the winter spirit?

I kind of am the winter spirit.

[Small pause.] You're sayin' that you are the Jack Frost from folklore. [He doesn't sound disbelieving, just... making sure.]

Yeah. Y'know, snow, ice, cold and all that. That's all me.

Well, you're not the first guy I've met that's from mythology. [And being brought to Death City with all these soul abilities... it's not the strangest thing around.] From the look of things, probably won't be my last.
