[The video switches on to Stein in his usual place sitting backwards in his chair with his arms draped over the back, he looks more tired than usually but given the circumstances combined with his already hectic schedule it's no surprise.]

First of all I'd like to thank all of you for holding with us in these tougher times and assure you we're doing what we can to get to the bottom of all of this mayhem. But that's not what this is about today.

[He pauses for a moment, turning the screw in his head with a slow creaking tick.]

Interest in a particular Meister ability known as Soul Menace has grown, and I think it may be time to bow to those requests. I'm going to be starting a small private class for Meisters who believe they have what it takes to learn and master the technique. For those of you unaware, Soul Menace is a technique that uses self resonance to push your own wavelength into your opponent as an internal attack.

I've already selected a small group to start off with including Neji Hyuuga, Miles Edgeworth, Mello and Bakura if all of you are interested. Anyone else is free to express your interest here and I'll either accept or deny you based on your soul and whether or not I want you in my class. I'll need you to tell me why you want to learn the technique and what makes you think you'd be suitable for the class.

In addition, I'm opening a slot for one weapon to attend the class as well. The requirements for this position are higher as only someone who believes they have the ability to achieve resonance easily with others would be useful, myself in particular as you'll be used as an example to show the differences in the technique between partnered and unpartnered. I'll need a list of all the Meisters you've resonated with in the past and if unavailable why you think you'd be suited for the position.

[He doesn't believe he needs to specify which Bakura, it's a Meister ability after all.]

On another matter I'd like to call the attention of the trolls here in Death City. As most of you know I've provided a substance to act as a substitute for sopor slime to aid in your sleeping patterns. Recently I've made a new one that hopefully has improved effects, but it still may not be as proficient as desired. It's to that length that I need one of you to volunteer to assist me in experiments. I need to compare what makes a human pass out to how much of the same drug will make a troll pass out and whether or not it'll effect sleeping patterns. The experiments will basically be you offering yourself to test different sleep drugs to see at what point they make you drowsy as compared to their effect on humans.

These experiments will take place in my lab and I can guarantee your safety throughout them, this is just so that I can develop a more efficient sleep aid. Though as some of you may already know, Condesce is living here with me in my lab. Meenah, Signless, unfortunately I'll have to request that the two of you don't volunteer for this as it'll be more of a headache to keep her behaving. As for the rest of you I can promise she won't be a problem.

[And really, why not kill a few birds with one stone here?]

Both the class and the troll volunteer will receive daily free cake if desired.

Alright. As of right now the location is undecided since it'll be off school grounds, I'll sort that out once I have an idea of what class size I'll be working with. Once I have that information I'll get back to all of you within the week.

That makes sense. I'll be there, especially now that I don't have missions to take on.

Are you and your partner part of the Watch?

[He really should get a list from Neji at some point on which guests have signed up.]

No, our occupation was taking missions. We have no real affiliations with the groups around the city.

Since you're done with missions for the time being, if you wouldn't mind we'd appreciate it if you'd take the Watch into consideration. They could use a pair like you in their ranks. And if you're not interested then I'd like to at least request you take your spare time to keep an eye out on the streets and try to prevent trouble where you can.

[He sounds a little surprised by this.] My partner and I left the Watch months ago. I... hadn't really thought they were in bad enough shape to require us back. I'll discuss it with my Weapon.

They're in an unfavorable condition, BREW has sent away a number of their personal and they're short on staff. From what I've heard many are having to double up their shifts or take over temp ones and with the current unrest in the city I can only imagine it's a strain on them overall.

I see. That is a difficult position to be in. I will have to speak to Sephiroth about it, as he's as involved in such things as I am. Who's in charge anyway?

Neji Hyuuga has been running things, not only Watch coordination but taking over heading morning training as well after Gai left. He's been doing the best he can getting new recruits and holding things together after such vital losses.

Yeah, he does tend to take on too much. I suppose it doesn't help that we haven't been getting the same amount of people in anymore.

For someone of his age, it's quite impressive to be so diligent. With BREW being as unpredictable as it has lately, we seemed to be losing the more experienced ones and the few brought in haven't been enough to make up for it. Which is why anything you feel you and Sephiroth can do to help right now would be greatly appreciated.

So it would seem. Someone should give him a rank to match then. No way for you guys to keep us old-timers around, huh? Sephiroth and I are some of the oldest I think, which is too bad. War can't go anywhere with greens.

I believe you are. And you're right, if we keep having to retrain then it's only going to keep holding us back further. Which is why I decided to set up these lessons for those able. We may as well take the ones we have and improve as much as possible if we want to have an edge.

Assuming that BREW behaves itself, that's a good plan. Otherwise, it seems like you're just training people in time to send them back. Of course... why don't people partner with one anymore? Is it a guest thing?

Assuming, we can only hope and do what we can with what we have. And you'll have to elaborate on your question, I'm a little distracted at the moment.
