Hey everyone!

... I know what I'm about to ask might be a bit weird, since we just got back from a skiing trip, but my friend Minako and I have been talking about setting something like this up for a while, so I'm going to go ahead and ask this anyway.

How many of you would be interested in having a beach trip or something sometime in the future. Not right away, obviously. We did just get back from a vacation day, but both of us figure that gathering interest now and planning things is better than trying to rush it all at the last minute.

[ Not to mention that, you know, people knowing about it in advance would make it easier to not have something else come up and make it so it needed to be pushed back because she hadn't had time to ask about it. ]

Also, if people are interested, what type of food would you like us to have there when it happens? Though I guess we might need to ask again closer to the date, depending on how many new people we get by the time we decide to actually have this.

[ Though you know, maybe she should say something else too. ]

Anyway, I have something else to talk about too. Something a little bit more important than a vacation day. My partner and I are thinking about trying to take on more missions than we have been. But... I'm not exactly sure what's a good balance. Like... how often should we go on more missions?

I mean, I know that we're not allowed to go on one everyday or more than two in a week. But for partners who haven't gone on that many before, is that a good schedule to follow? Or should we try to do one every week instead of two a week? I don't want the two of us to burn out on missions because we thought we were fine and then we suddenly crash, since that's not really going to help anyone out here. Does anyone who's been going on missions steadily for a while have any advice here?

I certainly wouldn't mind having a beach party of sorts! And it would be a nice way to end the summer season and enter into the fall weather.

[And maybe distract him from the aspects of war for a few moments. Then again, he was never really one for beach parties though. It was a bit of a double edged sword eh?]

As for the missions, it's really up to you and your partner to decide? Just don't over do yourself though...

Yeah. That's definitely something that Minako-chan and I thought about too. Though I guess if we can figure out how to get to a beach in a place that's still hot during the winter, we can do that for a vacation too.

I mean, we did just have a skiing trip in the middle of summer.

[ She pauses, before answering his comment about the missions. ]

That's probably something that we're going to have to figure out. I mean, that we're going to have to find out what our limits are and go from there.

Hm...I hope that it wouldn't be too difficult, if we can ask then it shouldn't be a problem? And especially with a trip like that in the summer!

[But Miki...the war! They just can't leave it defenseless like this!]

I think that's a good way to start! I haven't been here for long but I certainly hope you and Minako-chan the best of luck during all those missions! But just remember to relax too!

Yeah. We should hopefully be able to figure something out without it being a problem at all. I mean, I don't think Shibusen will mind too much as long as we don't start asking for vacations every week.

[ Also, yes, can't leave the city undefended all the time. That was bad. ]

Thanks! Minako-chan and I aren't partners though, but we both definitely want to try to go on more of them, so the luck is definitely appreciated.

Then that would be a pretty big problem! I'm still new but I think that asking for vacations all the time might cause a lot of problems for both parties! And it's something we can't afford.

[Sounds like you learned from experience there...!

You aren't? Then, is it just a way to test your powers or something like that?

Oh. Umm... no. The partner I was talking about and Minako-chan are different people.

[ She didn't realize that putting these on the same message would get people confused. ]

Even if we thought we'd make a good team, Minako-chan and I are both meisters, so that isn't even be possible.

Oh, I see! How silly of me to assume such a thing!

[And there goes the awkwardness!] I didn't know that you two were on different teams like that! If that's the case, it would definitely make the missions a lot more easier!

I think you'll be able to finish the missions in no time!

[ Chika giggles. ]

Yeah. I know Minako-chan and her partner are trying to do as many missions as they can too, so finishing up all of the missions shouldn't be that difficult.

[ Though she was more concerned with her and Asuka getting stronger together than anything else right now. ]

[Although now Miki couldn't help but have a question of his own]

Well, that would depend on how well your skills are? Of course, I don't know how long you have been here so I can't really so much about that!

I'd say that I'm... well, pretty decent. Though it took me a while to get used to using my current partner's weapon form. My last one was a sword, but she's a glaive. So... it's a little bit different.

But she knew how to use her weapon form before she came here, so she really helped me out with learning how to wield her.

Then I hope that she wasn't too difficult to use?

But I must admit, I'm impressed that she was able to use a glaive. She must be really skilled in fighting to use a weapon like that!

After I got used to her, she wasn't that hard to use at all.

As for how she's able to use one. Well... she's been training for a long time. It'd be weird if she wasn't skilled.

[ And that's all that Chika's going to say on that. ]

Then as long as you can use her, that's all that matters right? As long as you're able to defend yourself in a place like this! That's the most important!

[Even though the idea of using other people isn't exactly making him comfortable...]

Yeah. I guess that is all that matters. As long as the two of us can help each other here, we're really all set.

[ At least until they figure out that they can't handle as many missions as they want to, anyway. ]

I suppose so! Until then, just do try and be careful!

Hm, it is certainly a little different from what I'm use to. I don't think I'll have any trouble getting use to this place, Chika-san. It just takes a while that's all. It was kind of the same when I first started out back at my school when I first arrived!

[Yeah, this is nothing!]

... You're comparing getting thrown into a city in another world where there's a world going on to school?

[ There's a pause after that sentence, before she giggles. ]

Wow. I am SO glad I didn't go to the same school as you.

My school wasn't that bad! It's just a similar feeling!

It's like a new experience and a whole new set of rules you're use to.

[Not exactly the same but...]

[ Oh, the giggle wasn't enough to give it away. ]

I figured. I was joking.

Still, I get what you mean. This place is definitely a lot to get used to.

What about you? Was this place a little different from what you were use to back home?

It can't be that big of a difference could it?

Well... other than all the Halloween like decorations, not really.

The war part was something that I didn't even begin to know about. The last time one happened, I was pretty young and definitely not on the front lines fighting it.

[Okay, that made Miki raise an eyebrow or two]

Really? You had a war back home as well?

[Uh...well shit]

... Kinda. But well, not really at the same time. It was pretty short. And wasn't like a formally declared one or anything and was pretty crazy and hard to describe.

Also, I was ten and other than "some guy manipulating everyone so he could try to take over the world and blow up another one", I didn't really have most of the details.

[Meanwhile all Miki could do was stare at the screen. Um, what?]

Well, that sounds like it was quite the predicament you and everyone else were in at that time.

But that's a little weird he would just suddenly want to take over the world like that though!
