7th Turn: Video | July 31th
[The video starts with an evil laugh and gleaming eyes in sinister shadows before Bakura leans forward with a grin that’s full of bared teeth. The evil spirit has spent the last days searching the city near and far for the souls of two certain multi-color-haired midgets just to return with his hands empty. He had went all the way to make sure that it was no fluke and now he had certainty of the result. Malicious killing intend is dancing in both his eyes and his voice, twisting them more away from his nice counterpart than ever as he intones a mocking chant.]
The king is dead, the king is dead, long live the king~! Isn’t that how it’s said? [He laughs derisively before he shakes his head with a haughty tsk.]
All those things, all those times …and now that! Having it end like that feels almost too easy! [His smile drops into a discontent frown that turns his eyes hard before he tsks again and shakes his head as he brushes whatever thought he had aside with a wave of his hand.
The expression he presents the network with again seconds later is that of a winner, amused and cruel. ] No more games, dear Death City, for the main actor’s dead and the rest of the story’s already settled! [He feels betrayed.]
Both the main actor and the secondary cast have been removed. [He'd wanted some more time.]
So I’m going to end the game-! [It should have been personal!!]
The only thing is.. What’s the gamemaster left to do once the game’s won and over? [The frown is back at those last words. For a moment Bakura seems honestly troubled, then he shakes his head again with a mumbled curse and ends the connection. Atem has been much more than just an enemy to him.
No amount of public gloating can replace killing him with his own hands.]

[[A rare moment of insight? Maybe.]]

He cheated. He left the game before it was over.
That's not how you win things.

In the end it's always the survivor that writes your history.

{Her voice is thoughtful; no pity or condemnation or anything else.}
I'd say, 'start a new game', but with you that could be very dangerous or unhelpful advice.
private video:
'Start a new game'? Che, if it were that meaningless it wouldn't have been any different than the ones I played with all those countless unlucky fools before! [No, it had been much, much, much more personal than that!]
Besides, just what exactly makes you think that I'm going to pass up on my spoils? The thing that he and I have been playing about for over three-thousand years? [The last words are purred and full of malice that seems to say that she couldn't even imagine what that really meant.]

{Her voice is still calm and a little curious; they've Resonated, after all. She knows he's the type to leave his opponent in the most dire of conditions. He had been bad enough over a day-old grudge in Australia. But over three-thousand years? No way was he counting this a proper win.}
private video:
As for the spoils... of course they are. If anything, you could say that they've grown with the introduction of this and other worlds.

Keh~ I'm sure the guy whose body I've stolen will appreciate hearing that. It has taken me a long time to find one that compatible even though it's performance leaves to be desired in many areas.
[Mainly muscle power. Gods, and stamina too, even when Bakura is apt at getting the maximum out of the material he has.]

[ To put it lightly, right.. but she's getting some vague idea of what's going on for him to say it, although she doesn't know any of the people personally involved. ]

But it seems rather sad to do it like this. It would've been better if it was noticable even outside of this single broadcast.

I believe you generally start a new game.
Voice
[He sighs and laughs under his breath, sounding a lot like a man who just returned from the burial of his lifelong arch-nemesis.]
There's no heir left either, nor any family. [Well, none where there hadn't already been made any preparations to be taken care of and whom he knows of having escaped triggering those. Let's just say that the side of the game he's part of tends to be quite throughout.]
