Last few days were so much fun.

Black Mesa is back in business. For those who don’t know what Black Mesa is, it's a House Call Technician business, and we fix computers, broadcasting and wireless systems, business equipment and security systems. If anyone is interested or just wants a job, call me maybe.

We are going put up cameras all over the city. More, at least. Ones that will actually capture when few people are being kidnapped on the streets after being chloroformed.

The Detective Agency will supervise this since it’s for them.

Primarily, someone that thinks outside the box with code. Useful programs on mine have been uninstalled upon arrival. I'm told it's BREW, but that's neither here nor there. The hardware appears to be quite intact, though everything useful doesn't work simply because certain drivers have been removed.

Secondarily, I'm after someone with discretion due to the nature of what's on there and a skilled hand. It's not like I want it bricked because someone just threw what they know or don't know and saw if it stuck. Knowing Japanese helps too, it's a circa-2007 Docomo and won't do english.

But also, what sort of positions are you hiring for?

We do sell computers, which can be upgraded, or I can build you one from the scratch. It depends on your wallet, really.

As for positions, we have many filled, specially Computer technicians, but depending on your skills I might say yes. People who can build robots are always welcome, for example.

I'm dreadfully bored here with very little to do and so my top priority would be something electronic. Getting kidnapped was a pain in the ass for a whole bunch of reasons, but it also affected business. With me gone (even if it's for a mission), pretty much everything stays on hold and nothing moves since I'm the one who picks up the calls and decides who does the House call.

Well, the whole system can be compromised. It's up to the server to protect it. But I don't know how advanced your species is in matters of hacking technology, relatively to ours.

About how much does a security system run, and what comes standard with it?

It depends on what you want specifically. You have the basic security video, which are video cameras connected to a digital recorder. From that point you can add more; microphones, movement sensors, fire sensors, and you can have them connected to a screen, to a permanent server, to your cellphone, to your computer, even to your Death Communicator.

The basic thing isn't that expensive, but it'll depend on how many cameras you want and the type of digital recorder you prefer. Installation and activation is free, and monitoring - no matter what system you decide - is 30$/month.

Yeah, hey, about that whole security camera thing. Since I'm a pretty philanthropic guy, I thought I'd offer to cook up an A.I. for those detective fellas. You know, monitor areas, set off alarms for anything fishy, be an extra pair of eyes and ears, that kinda thing. I'm pretty good at that stuff. What do you think?

There is a small problem, though. Some crazy alien robot who happens to be more advanced technologically wise might hack into the cameras and will probably love some A.I for breakfast. Good news, we also have an alien robot, so maybe we can join your A.I. project with Bumblebee's skills.
